The Captain's Sister (Hinata ShoyoxReader)

15 || Tsukishima

After lunch, you sent a text to Hinata saying that you'd be leaving in thirty minutes. Ten minutes later, the doorbell rang. Daichi stood from the couch and opened it.

"Oh, Hinata. Do you need something?" he asked.

"Hey, Daichi-senpai! I'm just here to take (Y/n)-chan to the store!" Hinata chirped.

You came bounding down the steps, wishing you parents a goodbye before running to the door.

"Hinata-kun!" you chirped.

"H-Hey, (Y/n)-chan!" Hinata stuttered.

He didn't know why he stuttered, but for some reason, whenever you're around, he got really nervous. Slipping your shoes on, you stepped outside and pushed your bother inside, closing the door.

"I didn't bring my bike with me....Natsu sorta...popped one of my tires..." Hinata explained.

"Ok! Walking it is!"

You jumped down the steps and started walking down the street. Hinata smiled at your unusually good mood and followed.

"So, is there a reason why you're so happy today? This morning you were all mopy and grumpy" he asked.

"Because it's Saturday! And I get to spend it with you!"

Hinata stopped midstep and turned a bright red. You didn't stop, which made Hinata run to catch up.

"Y-You're happy b-because you're with m-me?" he stuttered out.

He felt something tickle in his chest, as if there were butterflies flying around. You nodded with a smile. Hinata couldn't help but smile as well, knowing he was the reason behind that smile. But little did he know, he was the reason behind so much more.

He was the reason behind the skip in your step, the light in your eyes. Just his presence alone made you feel happier than ever. Whenever you saw something that interested you(even if it was as small as a daisy), you would shake his shoulder and excitedly point at it. What made it even better, was that Hinata would get excited with you, even if he had no idea what you were talking about. Just hearing the joy in your voice was enough hype him up.

Soon, you arrived to the grocery store and began looking around for the items your mom requested. Halfway through, your phone started vibrating rapidly. You took it out and checked the aller I.D.

Answer | Decline

Not wanting to interrupt your time with Hinata, you declined. Before you could even put your phone back in your pocket, it started vibrating again. Checking it, you saw the same caller. You declined again and put it back in your pocket.

"(Y/n)-chan? Is everything ok?" Hinata asked.

You smiled and nodded.

"Yeah"

Not even five minutes later, your phone starts vibrating yet again. Growling you checked it and it was still the same person. You excused yourself and found and empty aisle before answering.

"What french fry?!" you snapped.

"Could you...come over?" Tsukishima asked.

You were surprised for several reasons. First of all, Tsukishima Kei was asking for your presence. And secondly, his voice sounded all croaky and pained.

"Tsukishima-san, what happ-"

"Just get your short ass over here. I'll send you my address" Tsukishima cut you off.

He ended the call, and you stood there in shock. A voice from behind you pulled you back into reality.

"(Y/n)-chan?"

It was Hinata. Smiling, you turned to him.

"Hey, Hinata-kun. Listen, I have to go right now. But maybe we could hang out tomorrow?" you offered.

Hinata nodded.

"Sure, but what about the groceries?" he asked.

"I'll come back. See you later!"

Waving, you ran out the store. You pulled your phone out when you felt it vibrate twice. Tuskishima sent you his address. You changed your route and ran all the way there.

"Tsukishima! Open up!" you yelled, banging on his front door.

The door opened to reveal one of the Tsukishimas. He was tall, but not as tall as the Tsukishima you knew. His hair was flat on his head and he held a friendly expression. This definitely was not Tsukishima Kei.

"Are you Kei's friend?" he asked.

"Sort of...."

He opened the door all the way.

"Please, come in. I'm Akiteru; Kei's older brother" he introduced.

You bowed and stepped inside, taking your shoes off.

"I'm Sawamura (Y/n)"

"Kei's in his room. He's been acting weird. He locked himself in his room and won't come out; well, he's usually like this but it's different. He won't come out to eat or anything. And he's not even willing to insult me" Akiteru explained.

Without giving you time to respond, he ran up the stairs two at a time and motioned for you to follow him, which you did. You got to a door and Akiteru knocked.

"Kei! You're friend's here"

Tsukishima opened the door and grabbed your wrist, dragging you inside the room before closing and locking it again. You took a good look around his room; it was clean and there were little dinosaur figures on his shelf above his desk.

You turned to look at Tsukishima next. His eyes were red and puffy from crying. He refused to look anywhere except the ground and his fists were clenched.

"Tsukishima-san? Wh-What's wrong?" you asked, stepping closer to him.

Tsukishima bit his lip and slumped into his desk chair. Tears rolled down his face and he took a shaky breath in.

"I...I've liked him.....since the day I met him...and.." his voice broke.

Your heart shattered seeing him like. You two weren't that close, but you felt some sort of connection to him after he confessed about his feelings for Yamaguchi.

"You..." he whispered.

You walked closer to him.

"What?" you asked.

"He likes....you"

'....I thought for sure he liked Tsukishima-san...' you thought, looking to Tsukishima.

"I-"

"He fell for you. Tadashi likes you!" Tsukishima yelled.

He broke down. He pulled his hair and ripped off his glasses, dropping them onto his desk to rub his eyes. You took a step back in surprise. Gritting his teeth, he started sobbing.

"Tsukishima...." you trailed off.

You weren't sure how to comfort him. You didn't know if he even wanted to be comforted. Being won over by your nice side, you walked over to him engulfed him in a hug. He didn't push you away; in fact, he leaned into you.

"What-...how-"

"Shhh" you cooed.

"You don't need to say anything. Just let it all out" you spoke softly.

He did exactly that and cried into your shoulder. It was really odd, seeing Tsukishima like this. As you held him, though, you tried to think of ways to get Yamaguchi to return the feelings.

After his break down, Tsukishima sent you home and refused to talk to anyone. You texted Hinata an apology for running out like that and promised him another hang-out soon.
