SunsetStanding over the Juliet balcony of the condo, the odd feeling of someone watching him compounded a crushing weight like a sledgehammer at his back making him a little hard to breath. Win fought hard with it but a familiar voice came through the balcony.
"Knock knock?" The sound of the voice had him frozen to the spot.
When he turned around, his gaze met a set of deep eyes staring down at him; lips creeping a silent small smile.
He jumped, totally shocked at Bright's presence, then looked behind him before he sighed and spoke, his voice was almost inaudible. "How did you get in here?"
"Sorry about earlier," Bright replied, ignoring Win's question; his voice was quiet but in such a worried tone.
Win let out an awkward bitter laugh as he tried not to keep a cold attitude towards him. He was upset, but a voice in his head was saying that he never had the right to be so.
Staring at him as his brows knitted together, forming a crease against his forehead, he uttered nonchalantly as if lacking knowledge about why he was sorry. "Huh? Why?" He faked a smile, not wanting to let the other man know that he was a little affected.
But in the short span of time that they knew each other, Bright could already tell if he was lying or not. His gaze locked upon Win's eyes for a moment and he struggled to sustain their eye contact as he didn't want to be the first to break it either.
When Win looked away, Bright then bit his lower lip and rubbed his nape. "Gigie told me what happened and she was sincerely sorry. Does it upset you?"
In the end, after several moments of trying to contain himself, Win let himself get drowned in the feeling. Gigie, huh? He scoffed inwardly.
"I wasn't mad at that." Win replied mockingly.
They didn't speak for a bit, but it wasn't an uncomfortable silence. They both listened to the faint sound of the wind as the soft and sultry air crawled throughout their exposed skin; Win's hair danced in accordance with the wind.
Slowly and gently, Bright stepped forward and stood beside Win as he turned around to face the expansive, sprawling city below them.
A soft smile pasted on Bright's face as he looked down, sighing, before he looked back at the other. Lifting his hand up, he tucked Win's hair behind his ear, sending a tremor through the other's body. "Then what upsets you?"
"I don't know with you," Win replied; sarcasm flowed more easily out of his mouth. He rolled his eyes and gave him a scowl.
The other released a short laugh, ridiculed by his own thoughts. He wasn't jealous, was he?
"I would say you are jealous..." Bright trailed off. They made a non-sexual eye contact as he tried to study Win's expression, "but that would be impossible, right?" He shook his head, ashamed of his own words.
"What makes you think of that?" Win scoffed defensively.
Pouting a little, Bright remarked. "You're sulking."
Silence filled the little balcony again.
He shifted, his back now leaning over the railing as his eyes fixed closely at Win. "I'm sorry." He smiled wryly. He didn't know but there was something in him that urged him to explain everything. "That was my ex."
Win arched a brow but remained quiet. As if on cue, Bright continued. "She just dropped by to send me her wedding invitation."
He was now facing Win with his left arm resting over the railing for his body's support and his thumb moved in slow and gentle strokes against Win's arm. "She even told me to bring you to her wedding."
