Sticky NoteAs part of his routine, Bright checked his mailbox. There were several envelopes stacked on top of each other. His hands flipped through each correspondence letter from several companies, not minding to read its names. He then grabbed them with him and dashed inside the foundation.
As he slumped down on his office chair, he scanned the letters one by one, but a particular envelope with a familiar company-name on it caught his attention. Velence Design Co.
A sudden surge of hope shone his eyes as he read the name carefully and repeatedly, but images of Win rejecting his request yesterday replayed his head.
Win wouldn't make a response letter as he already rejected it verbally yesterday, right? Bright asked himself.
Curiosity got the best in him as his fingers quickly opened the envelope and revealed the contents.
"Letter of response for the fundraising donation." He read aloud, shock flickered his eyes. He was dumbstruck. He couldn't grasp the fact that Win accepted his request and was willing to donate to their project. He wanted to scream on top of his lungs but shame washed his excitement.
Even so, he bolted his way out of the building and went straight to Win's firm for their scheduled meeting. He proposed every detail that was on his mind for the project and Win seemed to get his desires.
"So the vision is to provide an experience of hospital-based healthcare for people who are vulnerably housed or homeless." Win stated and nodded his head as he scribbled in his notes.
Bright just watched him, his eyes gleamed with adoration and fascination as to how far Win had come. His thoughts snapped out when he felt Win inched away from him as their legs slightly touched underneath the large conference table.
Everything went well. On that day onward, they became busy with the said project. They meet from time to time, planning everything.
"Ar., the security guard said someone went by to send this for you," Win's secretary said as she walked inside his office. His eyes dropped down to the brown paper bag she was holding and a cloud of confusion presented his face.
"Who brought it?" He curiously asked, his brows knitted together and his heart pounded heavily for no definite reason. Someone passed through his head but he internally laughed, feeling ridiculed by his own assumption.
She just shrugged her shoulders off, indicating that she was unaware of who it was either. After she dropped the paper bag on his desk, she then sauntered her way out of the office.
He tapped his chin with his finger in a steady rhythm as he looked at it for a moment before he sighed and decided to grab the bag. He craned his neck as he reached for the three meal boxes. He opened them one by one as he looked at what was inside the box, but a sticky note caught his attention.
Have a good day! Enjoy your meal.

His confused face morphed into a frown when he saw the name below but his cheeks and ears weirdly flushed. A jittery feeling grew inside his stomach, so as a sudden tidal wave of nostalgia and all of it were the happy memories with that person.
A great sense of pride aroused within his very essence, restraining himself to accept the food, but the strong pleasing aroma of the food instantly wafted his nostrils, earning a low growling sound in his stomach due to the sudden hunger. He instinctively moved his tongue across his bottom lip and gulped when he felt his mouth watered. He didn't realize he was hungry until the smell of the food crawled his nose.
