A/N: hey there!!! So it's the summer!!!! Which finds me with a lot of time on my hands so I should be able to update more savvy? (Sorry I just love that word)

Now on with the chapter...

Jack's POV:

I pulled Sam towards the interceptor not really looking at where I was walking. Oh, buggar I thought as I felt myself falling. I landed flat on my face in a puddle. Sam started laughing as I got up and said "oh shut up" while rolling my eyes. I repressed a smile and grimaced. I took her back to the interceptor and into the first mates quarters. I went to find some rum just before I got out the door I heard a small voice saying "where are you going, Mr Sparrow?" I flinched at her calling me Mr sparrow. "To go 'n' get some rum. Why?" I asked. "Bring me some would you" it was more of a demand than a question but considering her ordeal tonight  I had to. I nodded before leaving the room.

Sam's POV:

Jack left and I got up to find something more comfortable than a dress. I opened several draws and cabinets only to find nothing apart from papers and ink and quills. Then I opened the last draw that I could reach. I pulled out dark brown trousers and a cream blouse "perfect!" I muttered to myself. Now the issue arose of where to change, I couldn't do it in the room because there was nowhere to change behind. I have to change somewhere, I could just do it now and here but what if Jack comes back and I'm not decent?

I decided to just wait until he returned and then ask him to leave. 15 minutes later he returned muttering something about the rum always being gone. "Took you long enough." I said, "There was no bloody rum left so I had to go back 'n' get more. Goodnight" he finished as he stumbled out the door. I quickly changed into the trousers and shirt, then climbed under the blankets with my rum. It was strong rum. I loved drinking, that's why I never did. I knew I would get drunk but this time I didn't care. It was not long until the room started spinning and I passed out. The sun was shining through the window as my eyes fluttered open a sharp pain shot through my head and I had a sudden urge to vomit. I slapped my hand to my mouth and sprang up out of bed. I sprinted to the deck and lent over the rail as I felt a familiar burning feeling in my thought. I have had many hangovers before but never as bad as this one I had drunken a lot more rum than I usually would when I had the chance to. I saw a line of men on the dock and Gibbs standing at one end with Will. I think they were waiting for Jack, I staggered down the ramp now I know why Jack walks the way he does. "What happened to you? Are you okay??" Worry flashing through Will's eyes. "It's fine. It's only because I drank a couple bottles of rum last night. " I responded groggily "What!!!" Will said furiously. "I-" I began but I was interrupted by Jack "you dunk the whole thing and the first one?" I nodded curtly not in the mood for his jokes. "Right let's get on shall we?" Said Will "feast your eyes cap'n, all of the faithful hands before the mast," Gibbs said as we walked along the line looking at them " every man worth his salt." He carried on and paused as we looked down to see a bald dwarf waist height on everyone else. "They are crazy to  boot." He finished "so this is your able-bodied crew?" Will asked suspiciously "you sailor," Jack said to a man with a bright blue parrot on his shoulder "cotton, sir" Gibbs informed Jack "Mr Cotton, do you have the courage and fortitude to follow orders and stay true in the face of danger and almost certain death?" Jack asked I hated when he made things so wordy "Mr Cotton answer man!" Jack raised his voice cotton looked over at Gibbs " he is a mute sir, poor devil had his tongue cut out," Gibbs explained. Will raised an eyebrow I felt like I was going to be sick again and Jack stuck his tongue out while pulling a strange face as cotton opened his mouth to show his remainder of a tongue. I wobbly ran over to the edge of the wooden dock and threw up again. "He trained the bird to talk for him. No one has yet figured out how." Gibbs explained jack hesitantly turned to the parrot and said "Mr Cotton's parrot same question." Wind in the sails, wind in the sails." The parrot squawked. I could already tell the parrot was going to annoy me. "Mostly we figured that means yes." Gibbs interjected, "Of course it does, satisfied?" He said turning to Will and me. "Well you have proved they're mad" replied Will trying to not get frustrated. "And what's the benefit for us??" Said a feminine voice from near the end of the line. The voice was wearing a wide-brimmed hat pulled down over their face. Jack peered under the hat and lifted the brim proceeding to pull the whole hat out. Her long dark curls fell out of the hat expertly tucked away.

"Annamaria," Jack smiled. She looked mad. She pulled her hand back and slapped it across the face. She hit so hard his neck whipped around to face me and Will. "I suppose you didn't deserve that one either?" I questioned with a smirk "no that one I deserved." He turned around again "you stole my boat" Annamaria hissed "actually-" Jack started but then got slapped again so he was facing me and will. He gave a pleading look to Will and turned back around "borrowed, borrowed without permission, with every intention to bring it back to you." He tried to make it seem better than it really was. " but you didn't" she shouted. "You'll get another one." Jack said "I will," Annamaria spat pointing her finger right at Jack's nose." a better one Will chimed in," a better one" Jack agreed enthusiastically "That one!" I wanted to be involved it seemed fun. "What one?" Jack turned to me questioning my judgement. I nodded to the interceptor "that one!?" Jack said in slight panic while looking at me "Aye, that one." He said trying to hide the defeat in his voice." what say you?" He asked the whole crew shouted "Aye!" And walked off to the longboat. "It's frightfully bad luck to have a woman on board." I coughed loudly. " I'm sorry miss," he apologised " it would be worse not to have them."  He said looking at the sky. Will me and Gibbs looked to try and see what Jack was looking at. There was only pure blue sky.
