an ill-conceived escape attempt

After we had arrived back in port royal I had been sent to a doctor to clean and bandage my face. The next day Jack was standing at the gallows, hands tied looking glum. I stood in the crowd, with what looked like a dress on. The dress could be ripped off and would uncover the trousers I was wearing underneath. The only problem was the heels.  Will and I had a plan to free jack, it might get us hung but Jack is a good man he should not be hung. I made a sword in the exact replica like the one I found in the cave at Isla de muerta that I had hidden underneath my skirt. I had 4 matching daggers that I had made hanging off the hidden belt. It took me all night but they were successful and sturdy blades. The drums started, "Jack Sparrow," the formally dressed town clerk said, I saw jack roll his eyes "Captain. Captain Jack Sparrow," I hissed under my breath correcting him. I saw Jack's mouth move probably doing the same. "Be it known that you have been charged, tried, and convicted for your willful commission of crimes against the, said crimes being numerous in quantity and sinister in nature, the most egregious of these to be cited herewith... smuggling, falsification of, impersonating an officer of the, impersonating an officer of the royal navy, impersonating a cleric of the church of England, sailing under false colours , arson, kidnapping, looting, poaching, brigandage, pilfering, depravity, depredation, and general lawlessness, and for these crimes, you have been sentenced to be, on this day, hung by the neck until dead. May have mercy on your soul." I thought I saw a small smirk when the cleric of the church of England was brought up. I saw cotton's parrot land on a flag, wait a minute cotton? He was on the black pearl.... that could only mean... the pearl was in the harbour trying to rescue Jack. The drums got faster and a noose was placed around his neck. Will rushed forwards as did I, the drums stopped as the hangman pulled the lever. Will threw his sword at the wood just in time for Jack to stand on. I threw the spare knife I had brought that was not one of my set at the rope above him so he could get off the sword. I ripped the skirt off and ran forwards fighting the guards. Jack cut his ropes while Will dealt with the hangman. Will joined Jack and they fought off the guards with rope, they ran to the archway on the edge of the fort and I followed. We stopped and were stuck in a circle, backs to one another surrounded by red coats. "I thought we might have to endure some manner of ill-conceived escape attempt but not from you," Norrington nodded towards me and Will. "On our return to port royal, I granted you clemency and did not hold you to your engagement with this.. this... animal! And this is how you decide to repay me, by throwing your lot in with him? he is a pirate." Governor Swan scolded. "He is a good man!" I raised my voice lifting my sword higher towards his nose. "If all we have achieved here is that the hangman will earn 3 Pairs of boots instead of 2-" Will started but I interrupted. "You mean 2 pairs of boots and a pair of heels right? Do you even know how difficult that was?"I received disappointed looks from most of the men. "So be it, at least our conscience will be clear." Will finished boldly, it was true if this didn't go how we wanted we would all be hung. "You forget your places," Norrington said rather threateningly. "Oh come on! Shut up already, you know what we did was right and you can't stop that. You know what? Fuck you! Fuck this society! I'M A PIRATE!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I was getting bold, faced with death, if I was to die I would want to be remembered for this. Jack sent me an approving look smiling slightly. "My place is right here between you and them," Will said stepping forward, "As is mine," Elizabeth stood next to Will interlocking their hands. Norrington's and the governor's faces dropped, "Elizabeth? Lower your weapons," the governor commanded, "For goodness sakes put them down!" he said again getting annoyed. The soldiers moved their weapons, I nudged Jack and pointed to cotton's parrot, he looked up then focused back on the conversation in front of us, now hopeful. "So this is where your heart truly lies?" Norrington looked devastated, "It is," Elizabeth answered. "Well, I'm actually feeling rather good about this, I think we have all arrived at a very special place ay? " he got right up in the governors face. I couldn't let Jack have all the fun, "Spiritually," Jack continued "ecumenically!" I chimed in poking Norrington on the shoulder, "dramatically," Jack finished moving backwards. "I want you to know I was always rooting for you mate," Jack pointed at Norrington. "I'll miss you, Will, I can't stay here after what I just did!" I laughed. "Elizabeth, it would have never worked out between us darling, I'm sorry" Jack faked being sad making his way up the steps. "Oh Elizabeth, one last thing, " I threw my dagger that barely missed her left ear. "You hurt my brother, I will hunt you down and your insides will become your outsides!" I smiled cheerily following jack after collecting my dagger from the stone wall. "Will," Jack started, "Nice hat" He gestured to the feather. "Friends, this is the day you will remember a-" Jack started his exit but then fell backwards off the cliff. "Always the dramatic," I laughed and shook my head, "I guess I should finish for him then, this is the day you will remember as the day you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow and Sam Turner!" I swan dived off the edge of the fort landing in the water with ease. "I thought you were never coming," said Jack. "I had to finish your dramatic exit or it would look half-arsed." I said then started swimming to the pearl, "Whoever gets there first is captain!" I shouted back to Jack. Obviously, he beat me then we were pulled onto the deck of the pearl. "Thought you were supposed to keep to the code," Jack said as Gibbs walked over, "We figured they were more like guidelines," Gibbs pulled Jack up while I had landed on my feet. "How did you do that?" Jack raised an eyebrow at me then turned to his crew. Cotton passed him his hat "thank you," Jack said to him placing the hat on his head, "Captain Sparrow," Anna Maria said from the wheel, Jack walked over and I followed. He had what looked to be a very loving moment with his ship, I coughed, "Miss Turner, stay with me, the rest of you on deck you scabless dogs, hands to braces, let go of the anchor." He commanded, "Captain," I started getting a hum in response, "I'm thinking we call off our engagement," I smiled slightly at the sight of the open sea. "oh yes, of course, I wouldn't want that weighing me down." Jack said looking forwards. "It's just, it would have never worked out between us Jack," I said smiling now as he turned his head towards me smirking "You keep telling yourself that Luv," I rolled my eyes earning a small chuckle in response. "You are first mate now," Jack said absentmindedly "Why not gibs?" I asked, "I'm sure he'll get over it." He said pulling out his compass. I started humming the song we had sung on the beach what seemed like years ago. "And really bad eggs," Jack started singing as well, "Drink up me hearties, yo ho" we finished together, he slammed his compass shut with a snap and put it away. 

A/N: yassss I did it! End of film one finally. there may be a sequel but if there is I will write all the chapters then post them all together but there may be like a book of adventures in between films as well :) I make no promises savvy? Stay wobblly legged and rumsoak
