I couldn't believe I missed the fucking bus!
I knew my way well enough, though.
But, knowing my luck, it started raining half way there, so I got through the door freezing, soaking and knackered.
"Harry!Where the hell have you been?" mum shouted from the living room.
"sorry mum, missed the bus, so I walked home".
"No call? No text?!"
"I'm sorry"
Then she came into the room and opened her eyes too see me wet through and shivering.
"Oh my god!" her face was like a fish, mouth open, staring at me like I was ET or something...
"Can you wash my uniform?" I asked.
"yes, yes,get out of those clothes and have a shower...quickly!"
Twenty minutes later I was out of the shower and feeling a lot better.
I sat down at the table and crossed my legs.
Then I remembered. I'd promised Lynn I'd text her...and I hadn't!
I got out my phone from my pocket and scrolled down to her name.
