I nervously walked to a room for the first part of my fear training. When I arrived, it looked very similar to the room where I took my aptitude test. Four was standing there. He looked up when I walked in. He smiled politely. "Have a seat."
I nodded and lay down in the chair. He pulled out a syringe filled with a clearish liquid.
"You will face your greatest fears in this simulation. Most people have 10-15 fears." He paused, preparing the syringe. "Are you ready?"
I nodded, but I was panicking on the inside.
He injected the serum in my neck and all of a sudden I was in the woods. It was dark, and I was walking along, my heart racing. I heard a twig snap behind me and I jumped. I looked behind me and saw nothing. I continued walking and I heard footsteps following me. I spun around and saw a man running towards me, a knife in his hand. I started running in the opposite direction. Suddenly I was in another room.
My fear landscape followed my numerous fears- spiders, heights, drowning, and so many others I lost track of them all.
I reached my final fear. I was in an empty room at first, but when I turned around I saw all the people I cared about. My parents, Arabella, Melody, Angie, and Alex. Why are they in my fear landscape? I'm not afraid of them.
Tris appeared beside me. She pointed to a gun on a stool. "Kill them."
"What? No!" I was in shock. I couldn't kill the people I love.
She rose her voice. "Kill them or I will kill you!"
She pulled out a gun and held it to my head.
I screamed, "no," and before she could pull the trigger I was back in the room with Four.
He looked worried. "How did you... never mind. Just go. I'll see you tomorrow."
Confused, I nodded my head and left the room, still shaking.
