Chapter 5:
Soulmate?

I listened quietly to my music while driving to school in my Black Dodge Challenger. I had my phone plugged into the aux and just put my phone on shuffle. It's been a while since I actually got time to listen to my music.

I sang along in my head, never would I ever sing out loud. I use to sing all the time, my mom use to say I was her little pop-star. Always singing, and having the time of my life. I shook my head not wanting to get into those thoughts again.

"Did you hear what she did to Alex?"

"I heard its gonna take a long time for Alex to fully heal."

"I wonder what Alex did to provoke her."

"She actually came to school today."

This was all I heard as I walked into the school building. Alex this, Alex that, why won't people just mind their own business?

"I wonder if Eric has found out yet."

"I doubt he knows who did it. Because if he did Lucia would be dead."

My ears perked up at that comment, they were talking about that boy I bumped into the other day. He would kill me? I would love to see him try. Why would he even care about Alex, are they a couple? I shook my head stopping my thoughts and continued walking to my first class.

"SHE HURT MY MATE! Luna or not she must be punished! Lucia hurt Alex for no reason!"

I was about to turn the corner when I heard this voice yell which caused me to stop in my tracks. I'm sure it was this Eric person who just yelled.

"She's human! She probably thought Alex was a threat!" I heard someone growl.

It was that boy that called me his.

"A threat?! As you said, Xavier, she is human! She wouldn't know who was a threat even if it hit her in the face!" Eric growled back.

I felt myself get angry at that comment, of course, I would know a threat, even without seeing them. He probably didn't even know a threat was around the corner.

Xavier. The name pulled me out of my angry thoughts. That was the name of the boy who called me his.

"Watch your mouth, Eric! You're speaking to your Alpha! And speaking of my mate!" Xavier growled.

"SHUT UP! Both of you," Alexandria yelled, "yes, okay. She thought I was a threat because I sneaked up behind her. What she did was an instinct."

"What do you mean instinct?! Breaking people's arms is an instinct?!" Eric growled.

"Stop! Eric, I'm fine. I will heal, please just calm down," Alex said trying to get him to calm down.

I heard Eric sigh and Alex continued on, "look, whatever happens between Lucia and me is between us. Okay? She and I have a past, and I'd rather not tell you. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't either."

"Damn right you'll tell us!" Xavier and Eric said at the same time.

"I may not agree with many things Alexandria says but I do agree with this one. It's none of your business what goes on between us," I said walking towards them.

Xavier and Eric looked at me with shock expressions, clearly not thinking I would overhear their conversation. Alex didn't look surprised at all, rather she looked relieved. Eric was a bit shorter than Xavier but still had all those muscles. He had dirty blonde hair and blue eyes that popped out compared to his tan skin.
