Chapter 6:
Selene

"No! Please, not my daughter! I'll give you anything but not her!" the blonde haired and green eyed women sobbed begging on her knees with tears running down her cheeks.

I looked down at her in disgust, she was trading her daughter for meth just a couple of minutes before I walked in. I knocked out the drug dealer and grabbed the girl holding my gun to her head.

The women kept on sobbing, the girl who was around five years old had a blank face. As if she expected this day to come any day now.

"Get me the money," I demanded applying more pressure on the girl's head with my gun.

The lady quickly nodded getting up quickly and going through drawers. She was collecting a couple hundred dollar bills from each drawer, adding up to $4,800. That was not a lot of money but that was her dept. She wanted to work for us by transporting some drugs but on the first day, she kept the drugs. That's the only real reason she wanted to work for us, to get 'free' drugs. What she didn't expect that we would track her down and get her to pay us back for the shipment.

"Here it is, please just let my daughter go," she pleaded handing me the money, "you have your money, please."

I took the money and looked straight into the mother's eyes, pulling the trigger. She fell to the floor, dying instantly since the bullet was to the head. I looked at the girl to see her looking at her mother in disgust. In the end, I shot the mother, I wouldn't dare hurt the daughter since she was innocent.

I then shot the drug dealer who was starting to wake up. The girl didn't blink nor cry, just a distant look on her face as she looked at the scene before her. She looked nothing like her mother, instead, she had dark brown hair and bright hazel eyes. She then looked up at me with a blank face, I did the same. She reminded me of me when my mother and brother died. I nodded my head at her and went towards the door to leave.

"Wait," she spoke up, "you aren't just going to leave me here, are you?"

"Yes," I said telling the truth.

That's what I did to the rest of the families I killed, I kill the parents and the children stay behind crying. It's not that I want to do it, it's just my job.

"You can't just leave me here."

I ignored her and opened the door to the darkened streets.

"Take me with you!" she quickly yelled when I took one step out of the house.

I turned around to look at her, she was completely serious.

"No."

I turned around and walked out of the building, closing the door behind me.

"I know you're following me, no point in hiding," I said to the girl trying to quietly follow me.

For someone trying to be quiet, she made a lot of noise. I was walking through the forest heading to my house when I heard her behind me. This girl must be seriously crazy to think I would bring her with me. What kind of child asks their parents' killer to take them? I think this girl was mentally ill, if not, I have no idea what's wrong with her.

"Damn it," she mumbled coming out from behind a tree.

"Why are you following me?"

"I want to come with you since you wouldn't take me willingly, I just thought I would make you take me, forcefully. "
