Chapter 10:
Alive
"What?! You knew!" I yelled at my father angrily.
"I didn't want to tell you until I was sure it was them," my father calmly said.
I breathed heavily, trying to calm down and keep my composure.
"What now?" I questioned, not knowing where we would go from here.
"You go back to that boy's party and get information on them, but don't allow them to see you or find out about you."
Few hours earlier
"Tell me where he is," I spat at the man on the ground who was groaning in pain.
He slowly got up, coughing up blood.
" I ain't telling you shit," he responded, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
"As you wish," I grinned.
I swung the baseball bat, hitting his rib cage. He yelped, falling to the ground again. I grinned when he finally gave in.
"He's in Sacramento, he's been there the whole time," he breathed harshly.
I nodded at the guard at the door to finish him off and walked out of the room. I was now going to head back home and going after that man but after Xavier's party.
~~~
"Hello Miss Jimenez, nice trip?" Raul asked as he drove home, after picking me up from the airport.
"Yes, now I know where he is," I replied from the backseat, where I was getting dressed into regular clothes for the party.
I wouldn't have time to get dressed at home, I would just need to get my motorcycle and head to school where I was going to met Xavier and from there go to his house.
~~~
I slowed down as soon as I entered the school parking lot, searching for Xavier. I saw him leaning on a tree and talking to another man. As soon as he noticed me, he dismissed the other man. I parked a few feet from him, turning off my motorcycle, and getting off of it.
"How do you wanna get there?" I asked, getting straight to the point.
"Let's go on your motorcycle," Xavier answered.
I nodded and gave him an extra helmet that I had in the compartment in my motorcycle.
I got on my motorcycle, putting on my helmet as Xavier put on his and got on behind me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and held me close to him.
On the way to his house, he would give me directions.
Xavier got off, taking off his helmet, he opened his mouth to tell me something but closed it. He suddenly seemed to be deep in thought,
"I can't just leave," he mumbled to himself.
I was confused about what he was talking about.
"Wait for me here, I'll be back in a few minutes," Xavier said heading to his house.
I nodded, getting my phone out of my pocket to check if I have gotten any messages. I was still sitting on my motorcycle with my helmet on. I looked up to see a group of young adults a couple of feet away from me just chatting, a few people from school like Nia, Dulce, Zak, and Aaron. They would take a few glances at me, trying to figure who I was. But they won't be able to tell unless I take off my helmet, but I was sure Nia, Dulce, Zak, and Aaron recognized me. I looked back down at my phone when I felt it vibrate in my hand, it was a text message from father.
