Chapter 11-Family Love (Harley Jane Thayer POV)

A/N: So much cuteness! some emotional moments....but the biggest thing here is love!

My little jaw is on the floor! This room is huge! Well to me it's huge. I walk around & explore. OOH bookshelves filled with books, art stuff, stuffed toys and oh its so pretty! I see above the bed there is a painting of Kiss. It's the Kiss with Momma, Daddy, and I guess I can call them Uncle Paul and Uncle Gene! How cool is this?! It's like they are watching over me, and I sniffle. All of this is a lot. It's hard to believe it's not some dream...that this real. I could get used to this new life; I do think.

Momma & Daddy are watching me smiling and they too are sniffling, guess not the only one who get teary & sniffy.

"Hey Harley? Did you see the ceiling?", Momma points upward and once more my little jaw drops.

"Oooh! Pretty! It's like stars and stuff!" I bounce up & down in excitement. Daddy chuckles...

"Uncle Paul went all Sistine Chapel on it, it's called 'A Starry Night', it's very beautiful. And when you go to sleep and turn out the light, it glows in the dark." What Sistine Chapel? Ooh, it must be some art thing, that's cool!

"Thank you! I must thank Uncle Paul & Gene too! This really all for me?" I can't help it, I scared it all go away.... that I get hurt.

"Oh sweetheart, of course all of this is yours! It's not going to go anywhere. You're not going anywhere, we will never hurt you!", Momma crying and gets on his knees and hugs me and so does daddy.

"Now, do you wanna stay here for a bit or see the rest of the house?", Daddy asks.

"House! House! Please...", I add really fast. Tears are dried and so we tour the house. There are SO many rooms! Momma & daddy's bedroom, kitchen and a music room with guitars and drums! And a pool outdoors and oh so many things to see! I love this place & never want to leave!

There even a garden, filled with pretty flowers & trees! I turn to look at my parents.

"It so...what's the word? Peaceful? Very quiet & so pretty I love it!"

"Not a lot of people know I like to garden, man of many talents I guess." Daddy blushes and Momma looks at him fondly as they kiss. This is what love looks like, FEELS like....so many kinds of love. The love that you should have for a partner, for family.

It's really been such a short time, but I already never wanna leave. The love of family, it's what I've always dreamed of and wanted and now...I have it. I don't wanna let this go...ever.

"Can we stay here for a bit? Can I play? I will be careful, I promise." I ask.

"Of course, we can! Go on & play!", Momma looks misty again and after I hug him and daddy too, I am off to play and explore.

The flowers are so pretty, especially the roses...which I notice there are a lot of blue and purple ones. I didn't even know they came in such amazing colors! I notice butterflies and lady bugs are everywhere, even the bugs take their time.

Momma and daddy watch me, as I continue to play.... I get dirty on my clothes & stuff and everywhere, but I can't care right now. Finally, I get tired of playing....

"Oh, I sorry I get dirty! Please don't be mad!", I whimper and lower my eyes. I feel large rough hands tilt my face up.

"Sweetheart, its ok! You're a kid, I know you can't help it. And quite frankly, Eric over there is a big kid himself and gets way dirtier..."

"Hey! I have better table manners than Gene! And if you don't get dirt or whatever on you, you're not doing it right!", Daddy protests but with a huge grin. He so funny he makes me laugh!

"Easy their Kitty! Now Harley do you want to take bath and change clothes?", Momma laughs. I feel all sticky and I wonder if can have a bubble bath? That would be awesome!

"Yes please, um can I have a bubble bath? Those are awesome!", really bubble baths are awesome!

"Tommy, she really does look like a mini-you. But personality wise I Swear she's already like both of us....", I blush.

"Aw, Eric don't get me misty! Again.... course you can have a bubble bath & oh I know just the scent to put in!", with that we head back inside house and Momma and Daddy get my bubble bath started and put in...oooh that smells good! Smells like roses and.... I don't know the other, but it makes me relax.

Finally, I get in tub and ooh it smells so good! Course I thank my parents and I am helped with washing my hair and stuff and then I play in bubbles for a while. It's been so long, since I could just be a kid instead of a mini-grown up person. This feels good, so very good. I can just be a kid; it means a lot...

Finally, I get out of bubble bath and am dried off, hair dry and change into a clean outfit and we all head downstairs to living room, hand in hand to watch tv.

Will I still have bad dreams, nightmares tonight? I scared I will, but now I know it will be ok. Already things today that once earned me getting yelled at or hurt...today they never came. Momma can have babies...I wonder if I get a sibling? Ooh, maybe a girl! I'd love brother too, but maybe someday. For now, I just want to spend time with my family.
