Chapter 26- Time Flies: Tommy & Eric POV

A/N: HERE WE ARE THE LAST CHAPTER!

Tommy:

How is it that now our twins: Patrick and Erica are now 3? And our oldest is 8? Time truly does fly, and God sometimes or a lot of times I wish it would slow down. And speaking of children I have a surprise for Eric, he doesn't know yet.... I plan on surprising him during dinner tonight with us and the kids. Speaking of which two little voices pipe up:

"Momma! Momma!" Erica and Patrick chorus together.

"Where's your sister?" I ask.

"Sissy, coming...", Erica trails off scrunching her little face up adorably.

"Sissy is here, got you two!", Here Harley picks up her little brother and sister and spins them around causing them to squeal in laughter and she then tickles them. After a couple of moments, they finally calm down. Harley coming to sit on the couch beside me, as her brother and sister then play with their stuffed animals in the floor, perfectly happy and content.

"Mom? I know that look.... you looked like that when you were pregnant with Patrick and Erica...your pregnant aren't you?", My daughter is so smart. Plus, she has my husband's personality traits, so she's perfect to me.

"I am, you're going to have another brother or sister.... I haven't told your father yet; I'm going to surprise him at dinner." I whisper to her conspiratorially with a grin.

"So, no spilling the beans, got it. I figured Dad doesn't know, if he did, he'd be literally I am sure shouting from the rooftops." Harley grins. I burst into laughter at the last bit, since I could see Eric doing just that.

"I heard laughter." Eric's voice sounds in my ear.

"Did you hear anything else with your super cat hearing?", I tease, and Eric rolls his eyes playfully.

"No, just laughter. Now I'm going to kiss you." Eric proceeds to do just that and then Patrick and Erica finally notice Eric is in the room.

"Daddy! Daddy!!", They chorus together and Eric proceeds to come around the couch and tickle them making them squeal with laughter and then the does the same thing to Harley who despite protests is laughing.

Eric finally joins me on the couch, and I melt into his embrace.

"So, what's everyone want for dinner?" Eric's blue eyes sparkle.

"Lasagna sounds good to me kitty, with garlic breadsticks of course...salad...dessert." I trail off dreamily as Eric chuckles.

"Sounds good to me babe. What do you kids think?" Eric's eyes twinkle at our children.

"Pasta! Pasta!", Patrick chimes.

"No, coco!", Erica frowns at her brother. 'Coco' being her favorite word for chocolate. That and she's inherited her father's penchant for it.

"Coco too! Sissy no be mad!", Patrick wraps his little arms around his sister, and I snap a picture with Eric's phone as mine is upstairs.

"Ok you guys! Now I'm going to get started on dinner with Mommy. Now---, "Eric is cut off by Harley.

"Sorry dad.", Harley looks sheepish, "But can we all hang out in the kitchen with you and mom?" Patrick and Erica chime their enthusiastic agreement.

"Of course!" And with that we proceed to head into the kitchen. The kids sit at the table armed with toys and drawing pads and pencils in Harley's case and I get started helping my husband with dinner, but not before bringing him into a kiss and he smiles into it.

Eric:

Tommy and I just parted from our kiss, the kids are all occupied at the kitchen table, and I admire my husband, causing him to blush. That never get's old by the way. He looks radiantly beautiful to me, as always.... he's really glowing.... hmmm.

"Eric! Earth to Catman...you, ok?" Tommy's concerned voice asks, his hand gently on my arm.

"Yeah, just thinking how beautiful you are...you're glowing." I grin and Tommy melts eyes soft. Finally, together we get started on dinner and dessert of course, working in sync with one another. The kids are chattering away, and my heart is just so full right now.

After while dinner is ready & dessert is chilling away in the fridge, but before we sit down Tommy clears his throat and he seems nervous, everyone freezes...and I take him in my arms.... worried.

"Tommy? Babe? Why are you nervous? Aw, honey...you're shaking. It's ok...really, whatever it is, it's ok and I will be insanely happy.", The last thought gives me pause.... I wonder?

Tommy gulps but manages a shy smile as he pulls a thin box with a bow on it out of his pocket and hands it to me, I raise a brow...., "Open it Eric...it's something for you...well us. Sorry for being nervous...can't help it."

I open the box and see a small white pregnancy test with two pink lines...and it's positive! Wait...this, this means he's pregnant! My jaw drops at him, and I kiss him hard and gently bring my hands down to his belly where I can feel the faintest hint of roundness.

"Tommy, wow...this is...we're really having another baby! Oh this, is a wonderful surprise!" I hear cheers from our three children.

"We are having another baby Eric; I went to the doctor's the other day, and I am 7wks along. I love you!", Tommy starts crying and if that doesn't get me going.

"I love you too, I love this baby, I love all FOUR of our kids." I state softly rubbing his belly tenderly. We share another tender kiss and sit at the table dishing out supper to everyone and helping the twins eat and try not to paint the walls with lasagna. They do well, it's just their faces that are covered in sauce and not them, though Tommy and I will probably give them baths anyway, even though they just had one this morning.

Conversation flows easily around the table, there is much laughter, and so much love. Tommy & I are expanding our family again and our family.... truly there's nothing better than this. Tommy & I have come such a long way in our relationship. There are no more secrets.... those went away years ago, he's come to terms with his past. Harley she was the key.... she got Tommy to truly open and it's made our marriage and our love even stronger. I can't wait to see what the future holds! Tommy has a knowing look on his face, and I take his hand and squeeze it gently, and smile.
