"Tech, do you ever even smile?" You ask him. "Of course I do." He replies. He's currently typing on his tablet. "What are you looking at?" You ask curiously. "Scanning the ship for repairs." You nod. "Ah." You look around. "Anything needing Tech?" You ask. He laughs, and smiles. It's soft, but adorable. "You do smile." You say. "Of course, mesh'la. What do you think happens to my face when I think about you?" He says. "Cheeseball." You tease.
"Dank Farrik!" You say. You're trying to turn on your lightsaber to practice Form III but it won't work. "Tech!" You say. He walks over. "Yes?" You show him your lightsaber. "It won't turn. This button turns it on. Do you think you can fix it?" He inspects it and says, "Of course I can." He grabs his helmet and puts it on, scanning the lightsaber with his technology. "It seems that your Kyber Crystal is damaged. You'll have to get a new one." You frown. "But... there can't be any crystal caves near here!" You're a bit panicked. What if you didn't have a functional saber in time? "Let me check the scanners." He says.
"There's a cave 2 rotations from here. I'll tell Hunter." He states. "Thank you, Tech!" You say sincerely. He smiles and goes to Hunter. Echo is in the cockpit plotting the course. Omega comes over to you. "Where are we going?" She asks. "My lightsaber is damaged. We need to go to a crystal cave. They are one of the most sacred places to the Jedi." Her eyes light up. "I can't wait to see it!" You play Shah-tezh against Omega and Wrecker as you land. You eagerly grab Tech's hand and lead him to it. "Slow down, Y/N. I need to find the coordinates." Tech says. It's freezing here. The icy winds meet your face and your teeth are chattering. "Got them." Tech says, and you trek towards the cave.
Hunter helps Omega down and Echo hops into the cave, sliding a bit. Wrecker jumps down and some crystals fall from the ceiling of the icy hole. Tech uses his grappling hook and pulls you close. You slide down and he gently sets you down. "Wow. Which crystal are you gonna take?" Wrecker says. "You don't choose it. The Kyber chooses you." Wrecker tilts his head. "What?" Echo sighs. "It's a Jedi thing." You start going down the path when Hunter stops you. "Y/N. You might get lost. Take someone with you." You look at Tech and he nods, walking down the path with you.
After walking for a while, you sense a feeling. One you haven't had since you were a youngling. You feel pulled to the left and Tech follows. A crystal glows in the dark. You reach out and take it, marveling at its beauty. It's your favorite color, sparkling and shining. It lights up your face and you stand there for a minute. Tech laughs, then says, "Did anybody tell you that you have the best Jed-is?" You playfully roll your eyes. "Thanks, cheeseball." He lifts his helmet off for a minute and smiles. "You know you love it."
