Exploring the forest

Note: I'm so sorry I've been slow to update this! My life has been really busy lately with traveling and other things, so I haven't had a lot of time to write. Thanks for your patience, hope you enjoy <3

You're currently helping Tech fix the Marauder. Everyone is out in town. You and Tech offered to stay back and work on the ship. 
"What exactly are you doing?" You ask Tech.
Tech sits up and looks at you. "Currently, I am adjusting these screws here since they are loose. Soon I am going to run a diagnostic to check power levels and figure out what needs to be fixed. Most likely it is the power supply-" He sighs. "Would you quit smiling at me like that?"
"What? I thought you liked it." You giggle.
"I do. That is the issue. It distracts me." He explains.
"I think I'll keep doing it, then." You say playfully. 
"Ignoring you is so hard..." Tech says. 
He focuses on his datapad as he runs a ship diagnostic. 
"Just as I thought. This shouldn't be too hard to fix." Tech states.
He lays down again and begins to take off one of the panels to re-wire something. You move closer to him, holding one of his hands.
"In a minute, Y/N. I need that to rewire this." Tech says. 
You can see why Tech is the one who fixes the ship. He's so delicate with all of the different wires and parts of the ship, yet he's so efficient. 
"We need to fix the light again." You tell him.
"I'll do it in a second." Tech responds.
"It's alright. I've got it." You say. 
You move over to a different panel to fix the light and take it off, beginning to fix it.
Tech chuckles a little. "You're learning."

Once you go through the list of things to fix, you two are finally done. Tech comes over to you after you two stand up and holds your hand. 
"Should we go into town and meet up with the others?" You say.
"We've been into town a lot recently. Let's go somewhere new." Tech suggests.
"Where are you thinking of going?" You ask curiously. 
"Let's go to the forest nearby." He responds.
You take your lightsaber off your belt and leave it in Tech's room. 
"Ready?" He asks. 
You nod. You two exit the ship. Tech leads you to the forest. You're surrounded by tall trees and beautiful flowers. Tech picks one and gives it to you. 
"Can I take a picture of you? You just... you look really pretty right now." Tech asks.
"Sure." You say, blushing. 
He takes a picture of you with his datapad.
"Let's take a picture together. C'mon." You say, gesturing for him to come over to you.
Tech takes a picture of the two of you. You both are smiling. It's really sweet. 
"Wait... why are there pictures of Wrecker and Omega on here?" Tech says.
You laugh. "They probably stole your datapad from you while you were sleeping."
"I think I'll keep the pictures." He says, smiling. 

Tech picks up an insect on a tree nearby. 
"Fascinating..." He mutters.
"Tell me about it!" You say enthusiastically. 
"Really?" He asks.
"Of course." You respond.
"Nobody ever really wants to listen to me talk about insects or really anything that interests me... thank you." Tech smiles.
"I like listening to you talk, and it's interesting." You say.
He brings the insect closer to you so you can see it better. 
"From what I have read," He begins, "This species of insect is not only on Ord Mantell. It is also on other planets in the Mid Rim system. You can see the distinct pattern and coloring on its wings. This pattern is typical for an insect of this species. Their wings are quite small, but they are able to fly at fast speeds." 
The insect flies away.
"That's really interesting, Tech." You say.
"You don't have to lie. I know it's not interesting to many people." Tech replies.
"No, I'm being serious. I really like listening to you talk about things like this." You smile.

You and Tech walk along a stream of water.
"I can sense that the Force is very strong here." You state.
"Is the Force stronger in places like this?" Tech asks.
You nod. "Typically, yes. For me, I've found that being in nature helps me feel connected with the Force."
"Interesting. I really wish I could've spent more time with the Jedi during the Clone War. I could've learned so much." Tech responds.
"Well, I'd say you're pretty lucky. You get to learn about all this from your girlfriend." You laugh.
"I'm very lucky." He says, kissing you.
You step back and Force-jump into a nearby tree.
"I can climb trees, you know." Tech laughs.
"Come on. Catch up to me." You say, gesturing for him to come to you.
"This may take a little while..." Tech sighs.
He starts to catch up to you. The branches on the trees on Ord Mantell are really big, so you're able to sit on them without worrying about falling.

Tech sits next to you on the branch. You lean your head on his shoulder. 
"How can you jump so high? I know it's using the Force, but it seems impossible." Tech wonders.
"Like I told you, the Force is strong in this area." You state.
"You're incredible, Y/N." He says.
"I think you're more incredible." You reply.
He holds your hand. "We should probably get back to the ship. Hopefully the rest of the squad isn't back already. We wouldn't want them thinking we ditched them to go on a date." 
"Do you want me to climb down with you instead of jumping down?" You ask.
"I'll use my grappling hook this time." Tech states.
You carefully Force-jump down to the ground, being careful not to hurt your legs. A few moments later, Tech joins you after he uses his grappling hook. 
"Now the question is, can we find our way back?" You ask.
"It will not be a problem. Follow me." Tech says.
Tech leads you back to the ship and opens the door. 

Everyone is there, already back.
"Where were you two?" Hunter asks.
"I needed to do some training." You lie.
"If you two just wanted to go on a date, you can say that." Hunter laughs.
"We wanted to go somewhere new. Plus, we figured you had the supply run under control." You respond.
"Where did you go?" Omega asks.
"The forest nearby." Tech tells her. "We found the photos you and Wrecker took on my datapad."
Omega and Wrecker look at each other.
"Run!" Wrecker says.
