The night went on, it moved from the garden to the living room with colourful couches where the group played a movie. What Margot was not planning was to fall asleep at her new friends' house. Still in Damiano's embrace, she fell asleep due to the wine in her system and the delicious food from earlier. Damiano was not far behind her. With his hand around her shoulders, his head on her head that was on his chest and his other hand clutching the throw blanket Victoria gave him not long before he fell asleep. Thomas was the third one to snooze off from the movie, leaning against Victoria, trapping her from getting up and going to her room. On the other hand, Ethan had the privilege to take a picture of the two duos as they were sleeping and went to sleep himself in his cosy bed.
As the early sun rays shone through the big windows, Margot was woken up by the nestling of a cat which startled her making her jump and wake up Damiano who was a light sleeper. Both confused as to how they got in the predicament they were in. while looking at each other, Damiano was the first one to flash her a small smile. "Good morning!" – he whispered to her while looking at her eyes and cheekily at her lips and back up. Margot blushed and whispered a quiet "Good morning! – back. Damiano sneakily played with her curls that were all over his arm and tucked another strand of hair that fell on her forehead. His hand lingered on the side of her face as both blushed.
He was the most gorgeous person she had seen. The early morning sun illuminated his, now that she notices, hazel eyes. His high cheekbones could cut her fingers if she touched them. The two of them slowly leaned in, trying to capture each other's lips, but were interrupted by a hungry Legolas that woke up to girl to be fed. Damiano scoffed at his cat and broke eye contact with her to give his cat a pet. He looked up to her right after and asked, "Coffee and a morning cigarette?" – he cocked an eyebrow waiting for her answer. "Always!" – she answered and cocked her eyebrow in the same manner.
The two of them got up, Margot still had Damiano's jacked over her shoulders, still filled with his smell. Damiano began preparing coffee, while Margot decided to help and feed the animals while waiting for him to be ready, both making small talk while doing their tasks. They both got outside and enjoyed the early morning sun, sharing cigarette packs and stories. "You are telling me you have never been to the beach at night?" – Damiano was surprised. "No, never! There are not exactly any beaches near Paris so I can go with my friends, and I do not take my father or grandparents as night owls or adventurers. My dad is a rockstar, but a scaredy cat at the same time." – Margot chuckled. She could never imagine her papa going swimming in the sea at night. When he was home from touring, his bedtime was 10pm with a mug of chamomile tea and a book being out like a light at 10:30pm.
"Well, we have to change that! What do you say, tomorrow night? You, me? I am driving?" – he smirked towards the girl and received a smirk back. It was so weird to him having a girl be so responsive and confident towards him. She never looked intimidated by his eye contact, she always was confident in her answers and gave them with poise and grace. Something he was not used to. What Damiano did not know was that her soul was tremoring as soon as he looked at her, touched her or spoke to her. Something she was not used to. Margot always felt confident in herself when it came to guys. Parisian boys can be though and persistent, a pain to get rid of if you are not interested. She had her fare share of persistent boys hitting on her in Parisian nightclubs while out with her friends, and she always turned them down with confidence.
"You have yourself a deal Mr. David!" – Margot challenged.
This will be an interesting swim, indeed...
