The morning sun shined through the windows as I got up to see the time on my alarm clock. 5:15! I had still so much to do, work on my hair, get my shoes out, iron my clothes, I had to get ready for a party, that was held in my mother's name. The party was held for my mother's family to celebrate all the good things she had done, and I was going to be late for that!

I got out one of my mother's most loved dress and ironed it. I paired the dress with a 17cm stiletto sandals black strap high heels, and a black hand bag

I styled my hair so they could look like beach wave hairstyle, and put a berry red coloured lipstick with smoky eyeshadow

I styled my hair so they could look like beach wave hairstyle, and put a berry red coloured lipstick with smoky eyeshadow. I took a final glance at me in the mirror and headed towards where the car was waiting.

As I walked into the ballroom, the crowd all turned to look at me, but I was only concerned for finding my grandma

As I walked into the ballroom, the crowd all turned to look at me, but I was only concerned for finding my grandma. I weaved my way through the crowd to where I spotted my grandma and sneaked hugged her. "You came Mi querido!" She exclaimed as I looked at her confused as to what she said. Looking at my expression she chuckled, "sorry mi amor, I said 'you came my dear! As you know, we lived in Spain" I smiled awkwardly as I replied,"No conocía a esa abuela" She was shocked, "then how do you know Spanish?"

I replied with a sigh,"Porque le hablé en español a mamá"                                                                                                                              (I spoke in Spanish to mama)

She smiled and replied, "then Elena taught you really well.... come let me introduce you to the other family"

She led me through the crowd to see my, uncle, auntie, cousins and grandpa. We laughed and laughed and laughed until the clock's hour hand was on 9:00. I excused myself as I walked to the bar, getting a glass of Pinot Noir, when I saw the person I least wanted to see, Jake, but the thing that horrified me was the person he was holding next to her. She had light brown hair that reached her tail bone that were styled with natural beach waves. She had ocean blue eyes colour that fitted well with her almond shaped eyes.

(What she wore):

(Just a warning, on mi prometido means with my fiance, and Detener a diego! No hagas una escena! means stop Diego!Don't make a scene!")

(Just a warning, on mi prometido means with my fiance, and Detener a diego! No hagas una escena! means stop Diego!Don't make a scene!")

I glared at her back, and somehow, Marcus (my 26 year old cousin) noticed my glaring and lead me through back to the table. "Tricky, you can't just stare at someone randomly" he laughed. "But I wasn't glaring at her for no reason, she is with my fiancé!" The last bit came out a bit louder as I spat venom at the word 'with'! "She is with your what?" Everybody questioned me with shock written all over there face. "on mi prometido" I mumbled. Diego ( younger brother of Marcus, 1 year older than me, so 23 and already married) was getting ready rolling his sleeve up, when I held his hand back, "Detener a diego! No hagas una escena!"

"Ugh fine!" He rolled his sleeve back down and fixed himself up.

"Look," Maya (Marcus's youngest sister, who is 22) spoke excitedly, "they are going to announce your return!" I smiled and turns out, she was correct, some guards got me to join my abuela on the stage, as she spoke, "today, I welcome my granddaughter, Sofia, back to where she truly belongs!" Everybody cheered, but I was left confused on the stage next to my grandmother as photographers came up to take pictures of me. Finally, my grandmother spoke, "I've heard, that Sofia's voice is beautiful, so can I ask her to come up and preform a song that her mother loved!" She wasn't lying, I did have a really beautiful voice (must I say so myself) but I never wanted to expose it.

(sings the song I have uploaded, Sofia/Tricky sings the same way the women does)

Bésame,
bésame mucho —
como si fuera esta noche
la ultima vez.
Bésame,
bésame mucho —
que tengo miedo a per-derte,
perderte después. —

(Kiss me now, kiss me with passion —kiss me as if this were to be our very last night. Kiss me now, kiss me with passion —for you I may never-more see once past early light.)

Quiero tenerte muy cerca
mirar me en tus ojos
verte junto a mi.
Piensa que tal vez mañana
yo ya estaré lejos
muy lejos de ti.

(I want to hold you so closely, look into your eyes to findyou mirroring me.I'm sure dawn will find me lonely, cast away so far behind, where you then will be.)

Bésame,
bésame mucho —
como si fuera esta noche
la ultima vez.
Bésame,
bésame mucho —
que tengo miedo a perderte,
perderte des-pués. —

(Kiss me now, kiss me with passion —kiss me as if this were to be our very last night. Kiss me now, kiss me with passion —for you I may never-more see once past early light.)

Bésame,
bésame mucho —
que tengo miedo a perderte,
perderte después. —
Que tengo miedo a perderte, —
perderte des-pués. — — —

(Kiss me now, kiss me with passion —fearing tomorrow I'll lose you, past dawn's early light; —and I may forever lose you, —forever lose you. — )

As I was singing, Marcus, lead me to the middle of the ballroom, where he started doing a dance that I had long forgotten about. To my surprise, I had still remembered what my mother taught me. Nobody wanted to come between what Marcus and I were doing, and decided to let us do all the dancing.

(here is the video. They danced exactly like the male and the female)

As we finished the song, the crowd erupted into applauds as my Abuela came to us with tears in her eyes, "That was beautiful, the best thing you could have done all night, and your voice... just WOW!" I laughed at her comment, as I took her near the exit, "Abuela, why did you call me Sofia?" She looked at me with bewilderment, "why would you ask me? You mean to tell me, that you don't know your own name?"
