"Hey, what's up, chat, how's everyone doing," Reese greets the audience through the screen, adjusting his camera and turning it on. "How are you all?"
user.1: hey booooo :]
user.2: YAYYYY face-cam poggersssss
user.3: e x p l a i n t w i t t e r n o w
He smiles and clicks on Amie's playlist, playing it for the stream. "I'm just going to answer some questions in chat for a bit, donate or just ask, maybe I'll see it." He zooms in on the catJam-ing monstrosity that is his follower chat. "Yes, I already know there's some stuff happening in Twitter, that's my friend and I." Reese leans off the camera towards his bed, where Amie is sitting scrolling on TikTok with her AirPods in. He lowers his mask and mouths, "Name?" and she nods. "Ok."
"My friend Amie's pretty pog, yeah. How am I? I'm great, thanks," he ducks off camera again and slurps his milkshake off the red spoon. "Yeah, chat, I'll be right back, I just have a drink." —he mocks a British accent— "a beverage, some may say."
"Shush, Tubbo's going to call you all pissed off," Amie giggles from across the room, "he'll try to say water in an American accent again." She smiles at her friend as he turns, she wishes she could see his familiar grin that she knows is hidden beneath the mask. It feels like she's known him forever.
Reese looks back at the computer and the quickly scrolling messages asking questions. "Yes, that is Amie, don't flip out on me, chat." He reaches over to his pencil cup and grabs a pen, writing on a paper. Amie looks up at the silence: his headphones are on so she can't even hear his music. She sees her playlist on the screen and grins evilly. Reese sighs audibly.
"Care to explain? You've stolen something of mine."
"You've made me listen to this so much that it's practically mine now." He shakes his head.
"No! No, no, you listened to this voluntarily. You danc—"
No, no, no! He lunges frantically from his chair and covers her mouth with a black-gloved hand. "Don't go exposing me now, Amie!" She snaps her teeth at him, dislodging the hand. "Oh my god you didn't. Chat, she bit me."
The computer practically explodes with almost-hysterical chat messages:
user.4: she bit him lmfao
user.5: I feel so lonely hahaaaa
user.5: you danced asjsksjsksksjsj omg is that what we heard oh my goshhh twitters gonna love that one
"You heard nothing," Amie chuckles, reaching over and giving a thumbs-up to the camera. Reese tosses her a new mask matching his and points her towards a pair of black-framed sunglasses. "Right, chat?" She slips on the mask and the sunglasses and pops her messy-haired head into the face-cam. Reese gives her a set of headphones. "Hi, it's me, Amie, hi."
She looks sideways at Reese and catches his eye from the side of the glasses. "This is fun," he smiles, then pushes her away as he looks back at the monitor, knocking her off of the chair arm. "Yes, this is my pink gaming chair, chat, deal with it."
"We should answer more questions," Amie suggests, emerging from the floor, and Reese nods. "Here, someone asked for a height check."
She tugs him up out of his chair and away from the setup. "Hey, I didn't consent to this," he laughs. They stand next to each other and she looks up.
"Oh my fucking god you're tall," she giggles. "Did you grow an inch? Or did I shrink?" He stands up taller and Amie realizes he's wearing shoes. "You're taller than me anyways, take off the shoes, that's unfair."
"You act like a literal child. You'd get along great with TommyInnit, I bet." He kicks his shoes to the side and drops almost an inch of height. "How tall are you?"
"5'9," she smirks under the mask.
He doubles over laughing. "No, no. Absolutely not. Chat did you hear this? She's, like, five foot six at the most."
Amie chooses to ignore him and instead reaches all the way up to fix his sunglasses, then boops his nose. He tilts his head, then realizes that she's already across the room in his gaming chair, headphones on.
"Get out, you're being evicted," he points away from the chair with a chuckle. She shakes her head and he gives in, pulling another chair from God knows where in his room and setting it next to hers. "Whatever."
Someone in chat suggests a you-laugh-you-lose, and Amie nods vigorously. "We won't last twenty minutes, but if you want a short stream, fine," Reese agrees. "Mods, run a poll please?"
It's definitely majority-rules in the direction of 'YLYL', and Reese enables media-share. "How many lives, Amie?"
She holds up three fingers and bops her head to the beat, which he turns off. "You can talk." Amie chuckles. "Okay."
user.6: ranboob she laughed
user.7: that's a laugh guys
user.8: c'mon ranboo you heard that lol
user.9: two lives left
He ignores the messages and instead watches the first donation, which is the usual GameCube animation until the end where a cat falls off a wheelchair. Amie covers her mouth. "Not today, sonny Jim."
Reese bursts out laughing. "Was that a Jumanji reference? Oh my god nerrrrd." He mocks the monotonous quip used by Technoblade.
"You picked up on it, nerrrd," she retorts, trying not to chuckle. "Really? You laugh at me? That's shameful." He can clearly hear the smile in her voice. Amie shakes her head and looks back only to see a manatee bonk its nose into glass—with a squishy sound effect—on the screen, and suppresses a giggle.
"You're funny though," he says fake-sadly.
After a while of trying not to laugh (and almost failing), they get a donation: a TikTok of a man in a delivery truck. He sings, "you can do anything you want when you're"—(he does a little scale sign with his hand in the air)—"financially stable!" He frowns. "Hi, I'm Jared, and I deliver pizza for Domino's, and I just got tipped 82 fucking cents." Jared smacks his head into the car horn with a sad little beep, and Amie and Reese break out laughing.
"It's Jared, quick, call Will," Reese wheezes, eliciting another round of giggles. When they finally can breathe, Amie ducks off camera for a sip of her milkshake and then back into the face-cam. "Guess we have to end this short-ish stream," Reese laughs, looking at the chat. "Bye everyone, stay safe, we'll maybe stream again soon," he clicks the end-stream button and shuts off his PC.
Reese pulls off his sunglasses to reveal an adorably elated face (in Amie's opinion). She tugs off her own mask and glasses and tumbles into his arms with a laugh, knocking his chair over.
