"Kami is that you?" Y/N blurted out, a laugh escaping through her plump lips, "I didn't peg you for a romance manga kinda guy."
The yellow-haired boy quickly hid the brightly covered manga behind his back, stuttering atrociously while trying to cover up the fact that he indeed did have a romance manga in his hands, "No! I'm just here for Mina! She asked me to pick up a few things for her!"
"Yeah right!" she flicked his shoulder, "I saw you reading it just now, and Mina prefers science fiction!"
Y/N shifted her purchases from one hand to the other, "You don't have to hide it, Kami. It's not a shameful thing. See? I have a ton of romance mangas in my hand!"
"You're a girl. It doesn't matter for you."
"It's a picture book. Gender doesn't matter. Besides, you know how Kirishima is always going on about how manly Bakugou is? I'll let you in on something, that manly dude has PILES of romance mangas in his room."
The boy's eyes lit up in pleasant surprise and he moved from one foot to another, finally allowing his hands to fall to his side, the manga hanging from his fingertips, "Really??"
"Yeah. You'll have to let me borrow that series! I've been meaning to start it."
"O-okay."

"What might we be doing at a bookstore on this extremely fine day?" Denki gazed up at the large store, then turning his glance toward the shorter girl. Y/N strut inside, purposefully slamming the door into her companion's face, causing him to ram into the glass.
Holding back a chortle of laughter, she watched him stagger bag, his eyes darting around with disorientation.
"What was that for?" he whined, rubbing the red mark that was blossoming on his forehead. Y/N simply ignored him as she walked forward, her hands intertwined behind her back, "I was getting tired of committing illegal activities all day, so I thought, why don't we just spend a day browsing a bookstore? I saw the next volume of my favorite manga has been released so I want to try to find it.
She didn't know how she realized that it was her favorite manga, but the second she saw it being advertised on the big billboards downtown, she knew she had a deep connection with it in her past life.
"Oh? What's it called?"
"Fruit's Basket or something like that."
Denki felt an invisible arrow of remembrance as she uttered the title name. He could swear that he has never seen that title anywhere while he was in ghost form, yet it felt familiar. This feeling of deja vu was way different from the other ones he had experienced. Fruit's Basket was definitely a big part of his past life.
Maybe this little clue meant something.
"Okay. Let's go read some Fruit's Basket."
Walking beside the girl, they soon found themselves in the vast manga section. Every color of the rainbow was there, propped on the bookshelves and proudly displayed. Thankfully, there was no one there, or it would've made taking the manga extremely difficult.
Snatching a blue-colored book off the shelf, Denki sat on the ground and opened it up, his eyes skimming the words and pictures before quickly flipping the page. Y/N pulled the newest volume of Fruit's Basket off of the shelf and joined Denki on the floor.
Laughs escaped her mouth as she read on, feeling the glee that could only come while reading her favorite story after waiting a long time for it. Denki smiled at her ecstatic form, observing the way she kicked her legs and blushed like a little kid.
After about twenty minutes, she shut the book with a contented sigh. Denki leaned on her shoulder, tucking his closed book beside his legs, "How was the volume, sunshine?"
She froze, hearing that nickname. Looking at Denki with bewilderment, she felt a sudden wave of sadness wash through her mind, and before she knew it, her eyes were swimming with unshed tears.
"Y-Y/N?" Denki said, the tension between them was starting to get awkward as he wiped the tears welling at the corner of her eye, "Did I say something to make you upset?"
"No! The volume was great!" she laughed, "Guess it brought me to tears."
"That good, eh?"
She sighed before tilting her head, resting it on top of his, "Where did you get that nickname, anyway?"
"I-" Denki paused. He scrunched his face when he realized that he didn't remember why he called her 'sunshine' out of everything, because believe it or not, Y/N was the furthest from it, "I don't know. It's just cute, I guess."
Nodding, she handed Denki her Fruit's Basket manga and took away the one sitting beside him, "Do you want anything specfic from the shelf?"
Denki had already began reading, "Nah, just pick whatever looks good."
"Okay, Kami."
