"Where is he?" Y/N shouted, bursting into the hospital wing, "Where's Kami?"

"Where is he?" Y/N shouted, bursting into the hospital wing, "Where's Kami?"

A hand shot up into the air, "Here!"

She pushed her way through, huffing and puffing, screeching to a halt at the edge of the pristine hospital bed. Kaminari Denki  was nestled in the covers with a bandage wrapped around his head. His slightly twitching fingers were hooked up to different machines, and his limbs jerked around with involuntary movement.

"Are you okay?"

"Glad to know my love still worries about me," Denki quipped, offering a sly grin, despite his condition.

Y/N sighed, "They said you had a seizure? You're not supposed to just get those out of nowhere."

"They think it's quirk overuse. Don't worry, they said that if I'm careful, then I won't get them again. But the funny thing is, I can't feel my fingers anymore. They're... numb? I think that's the word."

However, the numbness and twitches only got worse, adding more stress onto his body.

And soon, the seizures returned.

The two of them currently sat on one of the communal tables at UA high. Denki's hands were clasped in his lap and his face was solemn. Y/N's expression was filled with irritation and impatience.

Throughout the whole day, they've heard multiple different people talking about them. Their names were said often, usually followed by tears.

"The question is, how did a dumbass like me get into such a prestigious high school?" Denki queried. They had figured that much out, but they still had no idea who everyone was to them, and it wasn't like they could directly ask.

Questions ricocheted in their minds as they came up with possibilities, but they could never find the answer.

Denki knew that everything had a loophole. If thought about in the right way, you can find out a lot, perhaps even more than you wanted to know, but this was different.

Needless to say, it was frustrating not knowing the answer to something so crucial.

"I can't even remember my damn quirk," Denki said, gazing at his hands. His fingers were slightly trembling in exasperation, "Was it really good enough for me to have gotten into UA out of all the schools?"

This whole time, Y/N's gaze was rested on the pair of girls sitting behind her companion. Both of them bore similarly tired expressions, only sitting there in silence, instead of gossiping or chatting like normal high school students.

"Kami. These were our friends," she murmured, still looking at the two dejected females, "See those two girls behind you? They were probably our classmates. I want to know who they are."

Denki nodded, "I know. I heard them talking about us in a classroom earlier."

"We can't leave until we get our memories back, right?"

"Seems that way. I hate how we don't even remember who these people are, even though they hurt because of us. Makes me feel pretty shitty."

The girl sighed before looking sadly at Denki, "So we were definitely connected in our past."

Wind blew through the courtyard, sending a chill down her spine.

"Yeah. We definitely were."
