I need to write what's in my mind
Words so deafening they make me blind
I need to write before it sinks in
It'll leave my mind and enter my skin
Get it out before it takes hold
Leaving me empty with skin so cold
An empty head I desperately need
So my ears won't ring and my eyes won't bleed
And my body won't ache and I'll say I'm fine
Without the chills running down my spine
