Dipper's POV.
After the lights turned off you think I would probably go to sleep right? No, actually Dream Demons don't need to sleep it's more of recreational activity. Kinda like sports but, even the sleeping part is different from what most sleeping mortals do. The most defining thing being there are no dreams. So if you have ever hit the skip button in a game that is pretty much what it feels like.
So what I do instead is just lay there in bed tracing and memorizing spells to keep myself from dying of boredom. When the sun finally starts to rise I climb out of bed and change out of the pajamas. I clean myself up decently enough and walk down the stair into the kitchen. I grab the milk from the refrigerator and set it on the table then I return to go and get the cereal. I start to cast a floating spell but stop myself mid-way.
Darn it this whole not using magic so, I don't expose myself kind of thing is gonna be hard. I got to figure out how to break this habit...
As I continue to think to myself I climb up onto the counter and start to reach for the third shelf in the cupboard where we kept the cereal and grabbed some Cheerios from the assortment of boxes.
On my way back down I notice a tired Grunkle Ford stumble out of his secret lair. He had dark shadows under his eyes showing that he had pulled another all-nighter.
"Good morning Grunkle Ford. What are you working on down there? I question as I start pouring the milk and cereal into a bowl.
He looks me up and down tiredly and smiles happily to share his new greatest discovery. "Well, Dipper since the townspeople and the magical creatures are co-existing anymore. I've been doing some extra research on each of them so I can put together a lecture for the townsfolk on them!" I could see the excitement in his tired eyes. It looked like he was putting a lot of effort into sharing his knowledge with the people of Gravity Falls. I was happy to see that he was still full of such ambition even after Weirdmageddon.
I smile at the thought "Can't wait to see it Grunkle Ford sounds interesting." As Ford continues to talk about the details of the research I continue to eat my cereal until I hear a thumping noise down the stairs with Mabel emerging with a huge burst of energy.
"DIPPER YOUR STILL HERE I'M SO GLAD IT WASN'T A DREAM!!!!!" she yelled after tackling me with a bear hug. "So what do you want to do today bro- bro?"
I look at her puzzled what could we do? There was an endless amount of possibilities. "What about going into town? Everything was wrecked after Weirdmageddon Right? How is everyone after all of the end of the world business?"
Mabel seemed to be surprised I wasn't eager to go on a mystery adventure like the old times. I didn't even have to read her mind to know what she was thinking but after getting over her confusion she jumped up and down excitedly saying she couldn't wait to show me around.
