The Book

Dipper's POV

I feel a cool breeze blow across my neck. My eyelids open and I observe my surroundings. It was dark and the stars were shining brightly because of the lack of air pollution. The smell of Pine trees filled my nostrils. It was a calming quiet for most of the animals were asleep at this time of night.

I felt so relaxed that I just stared up at the stars for what felt like an eternity. I mentally pointed out constellations and certain stars that felt special to me. One such set of stars were the twin stars Alcor and Mizar in the Big Dipper. Those two stars always reminded me of Mabel and me.

Then it all came back to me. Defeating Bill, Ford and Stan holding hands, Bill's last words, and finally Mabel and her grappling hook. After I recalling the aftermath of what was called Weirdmageddon questions started flying into my head right and left. Was bill dead? Where am I? What happened after I passed out? and finally, is Mabel alright?

I sat up as I tried to gather my thoughts but, that was when things got even more confusing. As I tried to sit up I felt some part of my move unconsciously and brush against my back. I turn and notice there was a pair of black leathery bat wings and what was even more surprising was the fact that they were attached to my lower back.

I pull them just to make sure that they are real. "Ouch. Yup there defiantly attached." I say at the aftereffect of yanking at the now confirmed attached wings.

I stand up and wobble as I try to balance myself with my new wings. I start to pace in a circle as I try to comprehend how and why I had acquired wings. During my pacing, I tripped on something. I managed to catch myself and stand back up but, what I had tripped on remained a mystery.

I turn around and pick up a brown leather-bound book. It had a gold edging. It had no name and looked like it was handmade. I placed it in my pocket in my vest where I use to put Journal 3.

I looked around at my surroundings. I had to get out of this forest. That's when I noticed a sound I hadn't heard earlier. It was the sound of running water.

I practically ran to the water. I was still learning to balance with my wings so I couldn't go as fast as I wanted. When I finally reached the river I looked and saw a creature in the reflection of the water. I jump immediately and looked around to try and find what I had seen in the water. Unsuccessful I approach the river again double-checking for the creature I saw earlier

I look down and there it is again. I flinch and put up my arms and was ready for its attack. Except it didn't attack it did the same thing I had done. It put its arms up. Then it hit me I was the creature.

I just stood there staring at my new look. My hair had gotten slightly longer (long enough to put in a ponytail). My ears had gotten longer and pointer. My hands had turned into claws but, when I focused on it I noticed they retracted into my normal hands.

There were two things however that shocked me the most. First was my eyes the sclera (the white part of the eye) was now onyx black and my irises were now golden. The second was my figure I looked like I had aged 5-10 years I looked like I was in my older teens to early twenties. It looked kind of strange considering I was still wearing my twelve-year-old clothes (even if they were in tares.)

I instantly try to grab Journal 3 to see if there was any way to figure out this strange phenomenon. Instead, however, I did not have Journal 3 but the book I had picked up earlier. My curiosity got the better of me and I opened up the book to the back of the cover.

There was a list of names each one being crossed out as a new owner acquired the book. There were nine names total and the final one was Bill Cipher.
