Racism and xenophobia are commonly find in whole world. It is discrimination be it due to different groups of people or religions. This is very evident in western countries when they discriminate between blacks and whites, especially in the US. These things we are often taught by our parents and teachers from an early age. We are educated that racism is a bad thing and we shouldn't do it so the people who educate us are very important.
Racism and xenophobia are quite popular attitude nowadays and there are numerous reason behind it. First and foremost reason is that every child from their birth has been taught these behavior by their family. They always behave just like their parents. That's why I say family upbringing is so important. Parents are the ones who have the most influence on their children.
Although today the world is extremely developed, people also have more open thoughts, but it cannot be denied that there are still areas where white people always show that they have more power and they hate people of color. In the US I have seen cases where they assaulted Asians on the street, they beat them mercilessly. That's unacceptable. People with such attitudes are merely influenced by family or social upbringing.
In my opinion racism is a bad thing and should be eliminated for a more just world. This needs to depend a lot on the family because the family is our first school, the education from parents is extremely important. Along with that, governments need to come up with solutions to these problems so that people can live more comfortably, fairly and safely.
