The population problem has existed for decades and seem to become more serious day after day. The rejuvenation or aging of the population can both affect the development of the country. If a country has a larger proportion of young population, it can thrive because young people are always full of energy and vice versa.
To begin with, the young generation is vibrant, energetic, and capable of contributing to the employment market, which has a significant positive impact on the country's economic development. They bring new ideas and are devoid of traditional beliefs and superstitions. It offers them an advantage over their competitors. The best resource a country can have is an educated young generation, and their contribution to the country is significantly higher than that of children and the elderly. The older generation's contribution, on the other hand, cannot be overlooked, as they have already contributed to the country's reformation. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience that is crucial in making decisions. They are often considered a better fit for the decision-making positions.
We still need balance in society, so we can't dismiss the elderly's contributions; without them, we wouldn't be where we are now. Because they are experienced people, we still need them to guide us to perform more helpful tasks at this moment.
To summarize, older individuals should not be viewed as a burden on the country; nonetheless, the young have more to give to society and the country in general. This is why having an active workforce is better for a country than having dependent senior citizens.
