In certain countries, persuading children that hard work makes anything possible is popular. This message can benefit children by motivating and encouraging them to pursue their aspirations. However, it may have unfavorable repercussions.
On the one hand, this message benefits the youth in a variety of ways. Since they are young, children have a lot of dreams and believe that anything is possible. When adults encourage them to pursue their passions and believe in them, it motivates them to work hard and stay positive in order to become the best version of themselves. Its second advantage is that it helps children become more motivated everytime they fail, as well as contributing to their maturation.
Children who believe this message, on the other hand, may have difficulties. To begin with, they may create unreasonable objectives for themselves and believe they can reach them since they believe anything is possible. For example, people may believe they may become millionaires at the age of fifteen and become dissatisfied when they do not receive what they desire. Second, children may push themselves to their limitations and work excessively hard, badly affecting them. Children who study all the time because they want to be top students and suffer from mental health difficulties like despair, anxiety, and isolation are good examples of this.
Although this message appears to be highly beneficial in encouraging or inspiring children, it does have certain drawbacks, so it should only be presented to children at the appropriate time to avoid unworthy outcomes.
