It was a lovely day, the sun was setting, darkness nearly covering the once bright clear skies. The young Minju was on her way home after playing in the playground with her best friend, Kim Chaewon. They are giggling as they walk on the streets, hand in hand while they bicker about some nonsense reasons.

Their parents were close friends and neighbors, thus the two had always been together since Minju was born. Despite the fact that Minju is a year younger than her older companion, she has always taken good care of her. They would always argue about little matters and end up laughing at one other. Everyone claims they've never been into a big fight with each other since they're inseparable. They have a couple of other kids as pals with whom they occasionally play, but they never go a day without seeing each other.

Minju, now 12, and Chaewon, now 13, grew up knowing every every aspect about each other. They must have understood that what they're experiencing is unusual, perhaps because it's a new sensation for them. When the other is doing something adorable, they get this odd feeling that makes their heart skip a beat. When they were younger, they used to think of one other's antics as adorable, but why is that sensation weird and new to them now?

"Yah, unnie! What are you doing? I thought we will go home and do our homework?"

The younger lass complained as she was being dragged by the latter who is smiling widely as they head to the opposite direction from their usual route to home. Chaewon quickly took a glance to the frowning Minju and just excitedly said, "You'll like it!" With so much enthusiasm in her voice, she continued walking and the older didn't complain any further. She felt it, the strange feeling in her stomach when she saw how happy the older was, making her just oblige whatever she wanted to do.

Soon enough, they arrived at the newly built park where the playground they used to play at as kids was standing. Looking at it now, made them feel nostalgic about the past that seemed to be yesterday.

"What are we doing in here?" The younger asked as they stopped at the entrance of the park, still looking at the new unfamiliar yet familiar place. The older didn't reply instead she linked her arm to the Minju's so they could continue walking to their exact destination. Some kids running around the green grass, some elders sitting at the benches that was placed alongside the walking path of the park, the positive and energetic yet calming ambiance in the park could indeed drag people to hang around the place.

Their short walk came to a halt when they've reached the fountain which is in the center of the park. Chaewon seemed to reach something from her blazer's pocket and she chimed when she got them. She got Minju's hand and placed a coin on her palm while the younger looked at her in confusion.

"Yesterday was the opening of the park but you couldn't come because of your family gathering. I went here with mom and dad yesterday, all the people who came made a wish and dropped a coin but you can only wish once. So I didn't made a wish yesterday because I want us to wish together."

Chaewon explained which made Minju's heart flutter. She didn't expect that the older would do that for her, she could've wished with her parents but she chose to bring her and wish together instead. It touched her heart to the point that it's beating abnormally but instead of making a remark according to her heart, she replied with normality.

"Unnie! You're so cheesy. I'm surprised that you did that."

"Of course, I will! I don't wanna come here with you today just standing here waiting for you to wish. They say that the wish will come true, aren't you excited?"

Minju chuckled, finding the older really adorable with her signature ear to ear smile when she's excited and her sparkling eyes filled with great wonders. "Say, you believe that? Why are you excited about it? We're older now and we're scammed a lot of times about those as a kid." She said with a hint of distrust on her voice as the matter of fact that they were often told to do things and they won't come true. She barely believes what the older said.

"It's still fun don't you think? Your impatience is preventing your wish from coming true. If you don't want to do it, then don't!" Chaewon remarked with her knitted eyebrows and pout as she complained. Nonetheless, she faced the fountain and shut her eyes tightly, with hands clasped together. A smile is making a way on her face as she seemed to wish. The younger looked at her and smiled, unknowingly she followed the older with wishing. 'I hope we'll stay together forever.'

As she opened her eyes, she was met with an anticipating Chaewon, excitedly waiting for her to finish her wish. "Are you done wishing? Let's drop the coins together!" Which earned a light nod from the younger as they tossed the coins to the fountain after they counted 3. "Say, what did you wish? You seem pretty satisfied seeing how wide your smile is, unnie." The younger lightly nudged as she asked the older which the Chaewon denied to answer as she claimed that it won't come true if the wish was said to other people than herself.

"Come on, you never hide things from me since we're young. Why not tell me that?" Minju lightly nudged the older's side once again while they start walking which earned a little giggle from the latter and shook her head. It made the older begin tickling the younger which caused them to roll on the grass as they filled the air with their laughter. 'I wish we're always like this' The younger thought.
