"I..."

"Are we just gonna go home? I don't feel tired with this, I feel like doing something later." Chaewon said as she finished preparing her stuffs. They're about to head home after having their breakfast. The three days and two nights they had at the beach resort isn't full of active events, only on their first day. They had this fun activity where they get to ride somw fun stuffs in the water but the next day they just walked around the place and talk. They did swim for few hours but it was rather relaxing than tiring.

"Do you wanna have a picnic date later, unnie? I was actually planning to ask you but you got me there first." Minju chuckled as she zipped her bag, facing the latter who's putting the last set of her clothes in her bag. The older looked at her with a bright smile on her face, definitely loving the offer the younger have. She nodded cutely at the younger making Minju come to her and pinch her, "Aigoo, what a cutie!"

"Yah! It hurts!" Chaewon whined which made Minju chuckle and hug her as she saw the pout on the older's lips. "I refuse to believe that you're older than me."

"But I am~" Chaewon teased as she pulled back from the hug looking dearly at Minju's eyes. Minju smiled at her, "And I love you." Another time when Chaewon get caught off guard by her sudden confession of love. She often say it aloud but she never get use to and get surprise on hearing that.

"I love you too." She smiled hugging the younger again, she felt that life is on her side. She was wondering if she have done something heroic in a nation on her past life that all the good things are by her side. Out of all those good things, Minju is the best thing.

"How did you like the little alone you two had?" Chaewon's father asked seated at the single sofa a few inches away from where she is sitting at. She just arrived to fetch Chaewon for their picnic date. The older is still upstairs, preparing.

"We didn't do much but it's fun, uncle. If only you and aunt came with us together with my parents, then it would be a lot fun."

"We wanted to do that for the two of you, a little privacy. You two got busy with your academic works." He leaned back comfortably, stating facts. The short vacation they have in a year is for them to enjoy, away from the busy days when they're studying.

"Besides, she will miss you so much. Have you thought of a way to tell her?" Mrs Kim said, coming downstairs from Chaewon's room as she let her daughter know that her date is picking her up. Minju's smile slowly dropped but there's still a small smile to keep her politeness to the elders.

"I still have a week, maybe I'll tell her three days before going. So she would be there before the d-day."

"We will pray for you, Minju-yah. You know how close you are in our hearts. I hope that your surgery would go well." Mrs Kim placed Minju's hand between hers, looking at her sincerely. They only had Chaewon as their child and with Minju being with them since she was young, she's like a daughter to them as well.

"You are also the cause why our Chaewon's smiles shine bright." Mr Kim went beside his wife with his eyes fixed at Minju, placed his hand on top of his wife's.

"You don't have to worry, aunt and uncle. Your daughter will be my will to survive it and as long as she's with me, my heart will keep on beating. I will be back, healthier than ever." The couple smiled and Mrs Kim hugging the latter with her husband joining the hug.
