It's Friday morning, Chaewon jumped off her bed earlier than her alarm. She looked for her phone and sent a message to Minju, greeting her a lovely morning. She was excited to start her day knowing that Minju won't be left out from school today as she went home last night already. Chaewon started her morning routine with much brighter energy to the point that she's shining brighter than the sun. After preparing herself, she checked her phone for a reply from the latter but it wasn't even left seen, checking the time she knew that the younger is already awake. 'Maybe she's preparing and forgot to check her phone.' She tried to cheer herself up but it still disappointed her that she didn't got a response even a simple "good morning" would have been nice.

Her door opened without a knock making the girl startled by the person coming in, it's her mom who have a very bright smile on her face. It must be a great morning in the Kim household that everyone have a grin crept on their faces. "Good morning, honey. I expected that I'll have to wake you to prepare but I see that you're all done." Her mother looking at her from head to toe, Chaewon is dressed up except for her shoes that she'll wear when she's already heading out. The girl was also confused as to why her mother went to her room to remind her to prepare when she doesn't really do it in a daily basis.

"Well I surprisingly woke up before my alarm could ring and wake me up so I decided to prepare afterwards." Chaewon's mother just nodded with a smile to her daughter feeling that her heart is about to burst from excitement. She saw the screen of her daughter's phone and it was on the conversation with Minju. She saw how there's no response from Minju's side which made her chuckle lightly. It earned a questionable look from Chaewon and she realized what it was after seeing where her mother's eyes are looking, she again sigh failing to hide the dismay she's feeling. "How about we go down and have a very lovely breakfast since it's still early?"

Chaewon nodded creeping a small grin on her face, this day is a great day, it should be. She followed her mother go downstairs and made their way to the dining room. Even before they could reach the room, Chaewon's father can be heard having a wonderful conversation with someone which the girl wondered who. Who would be their visitor early this morning? It was no surprise that her father is already up and seated either in the living room or the dining area but who could it be?

When Chaewon have reached the room, she was surprised to see a very familiar face she didn't expect to be there. To much her delight, she ran her way to the person, hugging her tightly. Minju chuckled by the older's reaction and patted Chaewon's back lightly, acknowledging the way she greeted her. "Sorry, I didn't reply. I wanted to greet you a good morning in person." Said by Minju when the older pulled back from the hug.

Chaewon looked at her in the eyes telling through the stare that she missed the latter before engulfing her with another hug. The elders watching them smiled on the sight, feeling happy seeing their daughter much more energetic after two days of blabbering how her days felt odd without her bestfriend. "I know that you missed her but we don't want the food she prepared with your mother to get cold, don't we?"

Chaewon pulled back from the hug sitting on the chair beside Minju. She greeted her father before they proceeded on eating the foods prepared by the two. "Since when is Minju here?" Chaewon asked to her parents as she munching her food. The two looked at Minju for her to answer the question thrown by their daughter. "Well, when I received your message, I'm already helping aunt to prepare the breakfast." She woke up really early because of the plan she have. Today would be a big event for her as she's planning to ask Chaewon out to be her girlfriend. They have just confessed their feelings towards each other but none of them have asked for them to step their relationship to the next level.

Minju already got Chaewon's mother's approval, a few days ago but she didn't have the chance to meet her father so she decided to join them for breakfast.

"I'll go upstairs to check on Chaewon. I'll leave the two of you to talk." Chaewon's mother said, leaving the two on the dining area but before she finally disappeared, Minju received a 'fighting' from her which Minju smiled and received all the courage from.

"I heard about everything from my wife, I was supposed to come see you myself but I was a little busy." He said to her gently, other than Chaewon, he have treated Minju as their second daughter. Not only them, the parents, are really good friends but their daughters are as well. Chaewon didn't have any siblings so he was happy seeing Chaewon get along well with Minju until now. Minju replied to him saying that it's fine and she understood him.

"I'm sorry for the bother that you had to wake up earlier today so that I can talk to you. I know that you already had an idea about it so I'll get straight to the point. I would like to get your approval on making you daughter my girlfriend." He was stunned at her straightforward statement but he suddenly dropped his smile and showed a blank face that was hard to read. Minju felt a little nervous seeing his reaction, he has the right to disagree anyway.

Minju's eyes started to shake after a few seconds of silence and his eyes staring at her soul but she wanted to look courageous and firm to her decision so she kept her head up and tried to keep her eyes connected to his. The silence was cut off by Mr Kim's laugh which confused Minju but she chuckled nervously anyway.

"Don't be nervous, Minju. I know that you're a very polite kid and wouldn't keep an eye contact with me like that but I like how you really wanted me to see that you're sincere with your words." She shyly smiled, bowing slightly for she know that what she did could be a little disrespectful but she felt a little proud that he acknowledged it.

"Other than your parents and Chaewon, I know you very well too. I know that you'll always be there for my daughter and will definitely take care of her. She only was very happy and less lonely because of you. I'm also aware about her feelings towards you even she haven't said a word to me. I know her very well to the point that with the way she reacts everytime she say your name, I know there was something. I know that you're her happiness and I know that you'll give your all to keep the smile she have on her face. No one else can do that but you so I trust you. Please, make her the happiest person she could be until you become a star."

Even with the serious tone in his voice, she could feel the gentleness of his words and his sincere feeling about this. She know that he already knew, he could've disagree after knowing that his daughter can get hurt one day because of her yet he considered the happiness they both could have in the meantime. He smiled at her gently, patting her head as she thanked him. "I won't disappoint you, Mr Kim!"

She stood up, making the soldier's know pose making both of them laugh. Just right in time when they heard footsteps and soon a body crashing to Minju's body.

They finished their breakfast with laugh and it was one of the brightest morning they had. Thanks to Chaewon's energy and mood, the breakfast was full of laughter and blissful smiles. Her parents knew that they have made a good decision about Minju's plan as they see their daughter, happier than ever with the person she love. Unlike the usual days, instead of only her mother guiding them to the door, today, both her parents sent them to school with Chaewon's father's car.

They shared stories about the past and laugh at them until they reached the school. Chaewon kissed them goodbye and when Minju was about to hop off the car after their daughter, Chaewon's mother held her hand and gently squeezes it for encouragement. She smiled back and muttered a small 'thank you' to them before she held Chaewon's hand and they walked their way to class.

"Look how colorful they make their surroundings with them together. They're so happy." Chaewon's mother said as they watched them happily skipped their way to their building. They felt happy seeing them like that but they hope that it will always be like this. They hope that none of these would come to an end. They could only hope. It's not bad to wish, isn't it?
