The sun has risen above the sky, the warm Wednesday morning is already starting. The natural sunlight is peaking on Chaewon's window, the dim room is slowly provided a light by the sun. Chaewon flattered her eyes open feeling comfortable with the sleep she had. Stretching her arms as she sat up on her still feeling a little drowsy. She sat for a while to adjust her mind and wake herself up, one second she could be seen checking her phone after remembering about the latter that she's waiting for last night. 'Shoot! I forgot about Minju and fell asleep while waiting.' To her relief, she saw the name on her notification. She sighed in relief before opening the message not only to find out that she's going to be all alone for the rest of the day.

She felt sorry about what happened but she also felt a little sad that she will be alone for the rest of the day. Sure, she could tag along with her classmates because they're friends anyway, she just feel that her day wouldn't go so well like when Minju is with her. She felt a little concerned about the latter as well, if she's resting well judging the time she sent some replies to her. She stood up and proceeded on doing her morning preparations that was followed by her going to the kitchen greeting her mom and dad who are waiting for her for breakfast. Her father went first as he had an earlier schedule for work than her so it leaves her and Mrs Kim. They were chatting like usual then Chaewon finished her meal. She brushed her teeth on her room before going downstairs with her bag hanging on her back.

Usually, she would be greeted by Minju and her mom chatting by the entrance but instead it was only her mom who's seated by the couch, feeling unusual because she hadn't heard the knock she's expecting. "Minju isn't still here, honey. That's new." Her mother said standing up to guide her daughter on her way out.

"She won't be going to school for two days. Looks like her grandma wasn't feeling so well that they had to take care of her."

"Grandma, you say?"

"Yes, she sent me a message to let me know. I'll get going now, eomma."

"Okay, then. Please, take care on your way. Do you want me to fetch you later?"

"Don't bother, eomma. I'll be fine." With that, she left her mother by the door who looks a little confused about something. 'Grandma? I thought both grandmothers from both side of her parents have passed away already? I'll have to ask Minju's mother about this.'

Her way to school was awfully peaceful unlike the any other day she usually have and arriving to her destination felt like it's taking her much longer. It was fine for her but she can't get use to Minju not talking to her while she's walking her way to school.  It felt a torture that she will have to deal with it for two days, she's already having hard time to have a normal morning, she could only hope to survive the day with good vibes surrounding her. When she arrived at her classroom, she was greeted by Yeji, one of the closest friend they have inside the classroom. They aren't very close like it seems but if you'll rank all their classmates, Yeji is the closest to both her and Minju. With Yeji being mentioned, there's also Lia who's her best friend, Chaewon and her are in the same club.

"Good morning, Chaewon! You're alone." Yeji stated as if she knew already. She have expected her to question the latter she usually come with but it's not the case. "Good morning too, unnie. Yes, I'll be alone for two days." She smiled to her friend as she placed her bag to the seat. Yeji was seated in front of her so they were able to keep the conversation going until their teacher arrived.

Hours have passed and morning classes are done. It's lunch time and usually s
she would see the girl standing in front of her, waiting for her to finish packing her stuff. "Let's go grab our lunch together." Lia offered as she waited for Yeji and Chaewon to finish their stuff. "Thank you for the kind offer, I could use some company." Chaewon chimed as they headed out together and made their way to the cafeteria. They sat together and munch on their food, butting in their chit chat in between.

"You could stick with us until Minju comes back. Let's go take the bus together as well later after dismissal." Lia once again offered. They might not come together but they always meet each other at the same bus when going home it's just that Chaewon and Minju reaches their stop first. Chaewon thanked them for accompanying her and she knew that she was more thankful for having them beside her at this time. She felt less lonely even though she longed to hear Minju's laugh or chuckle after successfully teasing her.

With the years of them spending days and nights together, they rarely have a day or two without seeing each other. If one is sick, the other would be visiting even for a short time for the sick one to have a comfortable rest. Sick or family events are mostly the reason when you see one of them alone at school or somewhere in their neighborhood. The title for them since they're young, "the inseparable ones" was successfully kept and not only they're know for that in their neighborhood but also at school as they're rarely seen not together. It was indeed a surprise that they never get tired of each other. As days pass, they seem to look forward more on seeing one another, they're in love with each other after all. 'I miss you already, Minju.'

Minju is seated in a hospital bed, switching the channels of the tv as she look for something interesting to watch. She doesn't want to stay in the hospital room where she is right now but she know for the fact that she'll have to stay there until tomorrow. She was so bored and got nothing much to do. She doesn't feel like sleeping as well when she's not even tired.

A knock on the door was heard indicating that someone will come in, she took a glance and it's her mom who went to pick up some clothes for them as they're staying longer. After seeing who it was, she averted her gaze once again to the television in front of her but glanced back at the door once again after seeing a familiar person. She didn't expect to see her there but she knew as well that she's bound to know it sooner. So she greeted the person politely.

"I knew that it wasn't right."
