(this chapter is slightly longer but I promise the last part is worth it)

The sun shone onto Hanseok, forcing him to wake up. He looked around and remembered where he was, and what had happened last night. He got up and rested his elbows on the couch, gently stroking Seohae's hair, careful not to wake her up.

Everything about Seohae just made him adore her more.

"You did good. I'm proud of you." Hanseok softly said.

Hanseok had realised from the moment he grabbed his keys to find Seohae that Seohae was the first and only person who mattered to him.

Not because she was his water bouyant, but because she was just Seohae. The only person who he cared for and worried for her safety more than his own. The first person he had regretted not ensuring their safety himself. The first person to make him this worried.

He could care less if anyone else in the world was killed, as long as it wasn't him. He could care less if the entire population was wiped out, just as long as Seohae was safe -- and with him.

He placed a kiss on her forehead, and got up to close the

Half an hour later Seohae for woken up by the string smell of bacon. Her eyes landed on the empty mattress on the floor, remembering where she was and what had happened last night. She sat up and saw Hanseok back facing her, cooking something.

Sleepily, Seohae walked to the kitchen, to see Hanseok frying some eggs. She stood beside him.

"Are you making toast?" She asked lazily.

"No, I'm making pizza."

"Pizza?"

"Yeah."

Seohae eyed him. He did look more handsome with dishevelled hair. "Liar."

Hanseok chuckled. "Go sit there, it'll be ready in a minute." He said gently.

Seohae went to the toilet to freshen up, then realising what was happening. Hanseok was cooking breakfast for them. For her.

"Oh."

She got out and went to Hanseok again, and he was smearing kaya over a toast this time. "Is that for me?"

"No." He said sarcastically. Almost immediately after, Seohae took it and took a bite out of it, walking away. She wasn't looking for a reply.

As she was about to take her phone, she remembered what had happened to it. She heaved a sigh of relief when she remembered she had backed all her files into cloud and that her messages needed to be accessed with a code only she knew.
"Ah right, I need to buy a new phone."

"Eat this then we'll go to the mall and buy one." Hanseok said, grabbing a fried egg with the thongs and putting it on Seohae's half eaten bread.

"What time is it?" Seohae asked. Before Hanseok could reply, she looked at the clocked and gasped. "Ten thirty!" She gobbled down the rest of the toast and ran to her room, leaving Hanseok dumbfounded. He sat down and ate his breakfast.

Hanseok dusted his hands, proud of his self made breakfast. It was simple, but it was a pleasant surprise to him that he could at least cook breakfast decently.

Seohae came out rushing, holding a new bag. "Hanseok ah, give me a lift."
