(inspired from an episode of Vincenzo.)
Seohae rushed to type down everything she could remember from the conversation with the chemist from Babel, before she forgot.
Her phone rang and she answered it, putting it on speaker while she typed.
"Hello?"
"Mdm In, um, I,"
"Oh Hanseo. What's the matter?"
"So I'm with the two prosecutors from the Seoul Central Court, but they don't seem scared at all. They say they'll sue us after this, what should I do? Or say to them?" He asked, seemingly ashamed and trying to keep his voice down.
Seohae stopped typing. "What? With those two we met last week at the dinner?"
"Yeah."
"What are you doing with them? Are you alone with them?"
"No I'm not alone, I'm with Mr Han and Ms Choi. My brother told me to scare them a little so- so yeah. But I don't think it's working."
"Hold on, where are you now and what are you doing with them?"
"I'm at the loading area for shipping containers, I'm threatening them, and they're infront of me-"
"You kidnapped them?"
"Um, yes."
Seohae sighed and massages her eyebrows. "What the fuck, Hanseo."
"I know I know, but I really need your help right now. I don't know how to...." He trailed off. A second later, Seohae heard some muffled screams and chaos happening on the other side.
Seohae picked up her phone. "Hanseo? What happened?"
There wasn't any reply, but the sound went on, and she could hear someone begging on the other line. She made the volume on the phone to the loudest and pressed it against her ear.
"I won't kill you, who do you think is next?" Came from the phone.
Seohae sighed in disbelief, she could recognise the voice instantly. She picked up her bag and rushed out.
-----
When she arrived, Hanseok was sitting on the top of a big container while the three of them stood in a row, with Seungheuk hiding behind Myunghee's shoulder.
"Hey!" She called out, jogging to them like they were meeting for brunch. They seemed surprised to see her.
"You're here?" Hanseok said.
"Have you discarded the bodies?" She asked, looking up to him on the container.
"Body," he corrected. "It's still inside."
She went to get rid of the body, getting rid of the traces of anything that happened here.
She climbed with ease to the top of the container where Hanseok was, and sat beside him.
"Can't believe you didn't ask me if I wanted to watch your performance."
Hanseok smirked, "I'll show you one next time. Hanseo called you?"
"I could hear you through the phone."
"Hyungnim... you could at least give us a heads up that you were coming...." Hanseo started.
"Surprise!" Hanseok replied cutely, as if he didn't just kill a man a few minutes ago. "Why, you didn't like my surprise?"
"I-it's a bit rash, he-" Hanseo replied but his brother cut him off.
"As long as I don't feel like trash, nothing else matters."
Seohae clicked her tongue at his words, cringing.
He hopped off and approached the three of them. Seungheuk his behind Myunghee who, undoubtedly, had her back straight. Hanseo naturally shifted back a few small steps.
He briefed them on the following actions, and Seohae just watched, observing each of their expressions and actions in the dimly lit area.
Hanseok pulled his brother closer with his hockey stick. "Ah Hanseo ah Hanseo..."
The younger picked at his nails.
"Next time you threaten someone, do it more convincingly, okay? You're more capable than this." It didn't come off as encouraging, but rather threatening and scary.
"A-ah yes, hyungnim."
Seohae hopped off the container. "I'm starving, let's go grab dinner." She said to Hanseok.
They went back to his car and he drove her home.
"Those two... Those two are crazy." Seungheuk muttered. "They've lost their minds completely."
Hanseo tried to rub off the blood from his shoulder, taking off his blazer in frustration.
"At least we didn't have to get rid of the bodies."
-----
Hanseok drove Seohae to a nearby empty restaurant, taking off his jacket that was splattered with blood before leaving the car.
"You know I was giving a few choices for my husband." Seohae said once they got sat down.
"Like picking clothes?" He raised his eyebrow.
"Kind of. Aren't you the lucky one?"
Hanseok rolled his eyes jokingly. "You should be lucky I let you, I could get anyone I wanted."
"Anyway, not like the others were very interesting either, most of them were just geeky CEOs who only cared for their company." Seohae explained, drinking a sip of water.
"So how am I different?"
"You don't just care for your company, you have a bit of fun doing it. A little bit too much fun, but I like it so don't stop."
"You mean just now...?"
"Yeah, it was really cool."
Hanseok leaned back, taking a sip from the cup of water provided. "You're insane."
"As you are." She replied, and a small smirk was evident on his lips.
