🧚♀️Elizabeth's view🧚♀️
I should have known to be on my guard against Corvan and never left Tyvan's side if he was around. Well, to be fair, I did not know he was around, but I should have suspected it with how he was drooling over me the first time we met.
Tyvan and I had been pretty much joined at the hip after returning from picking up my parents, well to be honest, well before then, the correct time would have been from when I was attacked by the Troll. As I never won an argument with my parents, I let Tyvan negotiate around them as much as possible, as he was well versed in negotiation and rather skilled at it. Although, I do not think his years of negotiating prepared him for my parents - nothing could.
They were not bad parents; I would have classed them as good parents. But like all good parents they were overprotective and over reactive to a society they were unfamiliar with. My sister Susan, had nicely done up a "Introduction to the fae" small book for them to read and have a little understanding of how different it was here. Even after reading this, they caused problems between all of us. Starting with trying to change how we slept. They tried kicking Tyvan out of my room saying that "No adult should sleep with a child!"
Well, luckily DebraLee was there and she quickly vetoed my parents' decision, and she explained yet again that "the fae was different, the same rules did not apply here as to the human world. If you continue to insist on trying to separate Tyvan and Diz, I will encourage Tyvan to consummate the marriage proper and mark her as his permanently, thus making it safe for her to disappear into the drow world and they would never see her again as Tyvan's magic would enable her to enter the deep where humans and dwarves feared to tread!"
I looked at Tyvan to see if what she claimed was true and he gently shook his head, I knew then it was a bluff, a convincing one too, much to my relief, I just did not feel safe without Tyvan nearby. I was ever so thankful that we were allowed to sleep together as we had been.
But even being around Tyvan didn't save me from being kidnapped by Corvan. He could have whomever he wanted, but he wanted me the one person he couldn't have.
Corvan put me to sleep so that I couldn't warn Tyvan that something was wrong. He literally had only turned away from me for a minute and was 2 steps ahead sorting something out. I didn't feel unsafe, but where I was taken, I have to admit was clever and obviously planned.
The next few days were spent in a groggy sort of daze. To be fair, every time I was conscious, I was knocked out again. I remember being in a carriage, sort of like the ones the cooks used. Corvan was next to me looking out, I assume watching for pursuit. I remember overhearing part of a conversation.
"It's still a few more days travel." Corvan said to someone.
"Are you sure that using that stuff all the time is wise? Even on us it is dangerous, what effect would it have on one not of the fae?" The person asked.
"She will be ok!" Corvan said, "It was used on DebraLee remember?"
"I remember, but I don't like this Corvan, that's Tyvan's wife you have kidnapped," the voice said.
"She's not his fully, I still have a chance and I am taking it." He looked at me then, "She's awake." and came over to me.
"Elizabeth, would you like something to drink or eat?" He asked in a concerned voice.
I suddenly realised I was very hungry and thirsty "Ye...e...es," I rasped out, "Where am I? What is happening?"
"You're in a caravan. We are travelling to Alemy Glen where I will make you my Queen," Corvan explained.
