"When will you learn to get over him?"

~ 'Im so late.'Y/N thought as she ran to her school, Fukurodani Academy, basically sprinting.
Though, she wasn't "so late". More like 10 minutes late to the boys volleyball team practice. She wasn't a manager but there was only one reason why she loved getting there early. Akaashi Keiji. The boy she loved more than anything in the world. Even though it was obvious, she would never tell him. Even if she got enough time to spend with him since they shared the same best friend, she wanted more. Bokuto has known about her love for Akaashi since the day he had met the two. Meeting the girl herself was unintended for him but since she was always trailing after Akaashi like a lost puppy, the volleyball captain was introduced to two people rather than one.
She finally made it to the gym where the boys were holding their volleyball practice. The (H/C) haired girl quietly walked in, not wanting to disturb the practice until a certain captain noticed her,
"Y/N! You're later than usual!" Bokuto yelled from across the gym. She froze and turned to him to see Akaashi also looking at her with an annoyed expression,
"Sorry Bo, I forgot to set my alarm. Thankfully, my body is used to waking up early." She said, laughing lightly, "Are Yukie and Kaori not coming?"
Konoha shook his head, "We told them they didn't have to come in this morning."
She nodded her head and walked over to the bench. She set her stuff down and sat. She had began working on whatever homework she had left to do until she heard a yell,
"L/N, look out!"
When she looked up, her face was met with a ball, causing her to fall backwards. Ow.
"Y/N! Are you okay?"
She slowly sat up while holding her nose as the team, excluding Akaashi, ran to her, "I'm okay Bo. It just surprised me." She chuckled.
"Akaashi! That was a little too hard! Say you're sorry!" Bokuto yelled to the setter who was still standing beside the net.
Akaashi sighed and looked to the side, "Sorry." He whispered with a bit of attitude.
"It's okay, Akaashi! Really! I'm okay!" She yelled and he rolled his eyes.
Bokuto helped the girl up, "Cmon, let's go to the nurse and clean you up! I'll have you feeling better in no time!"
The girl pouted slightly. She wanted Akaashi to take her. He was the one who hit her in the first place. When they got to the nurses office, Bokuto sat her down while he got an ice pack for her,
"At least your nose didn't break!" He said laughing,
"Shut up! This isn't fair. Akaashi should be the one helping me." She said frowning.
Bokuto only laughed more and hugged her. She had to admit, she felt a little better.
"You know I love you and all, but when will you learn to get over him? It doesn't seem like he's gonna give you a chance any time soon." He said starring deeply into her eyes
She only sighed. The amount of times he's told her this. The amount of late night conversations of her crying to Bokuto over Akaashi. As much as he tried helping the girl get with Akaashi, he was also trying to help her get over him.
"Don't say that. Who knows, maybe one day he'll confess his undying love for me and I can stop worrying about ever having a chance with him." She replied, giving him a small smile
"You poor soul. Who's gonna look after you when I graduate?" He said while hugging her once more,
"Don't worry about me Bo. I don't plan on giving up anytime soon. I've never felt this way about anyone and I don't wanna move on until I try." She told him.
"Well, it's been a whole year since I met you guys and you haven't done anything about this crush so maybe do it while I'm still here and can help you. Start by telling him how you feel." Bokuto said patting her knee.
The girl ferociously shook her head, "Nope. I'm not ready for that yet. Even if he had an idea of how I feel, I could never openly tell him in person. Rejection is very likely in my case. Ever since Ive known him, he's been rejecting girls left and right."
Bokuto only smiled and ruffled her hair.
What the two didn't know was that the setter they had been talking about was listening to everything they had talked about. He sighed in annoyance to himself.
One thing he couldn't stand most in the world,
Was when girls had a crush on him.
