"L/N, do I make you uncomfortable or something? You keep moving and it's bothering me."

~Another new day.

The two second years sitting in class, listening to their teacher babbling on about how much of a wreck her husband and her relationship are. She had been going about it for about, thirty minutes.

It started when everyone was walking to their seats and a girl asked their sensei how her weekend was, causing her to break out in tears and start shouting her problems.

Not like any of the students were paying attention though. Most kids fell asleep. Others went on their phones. Akaashi was bored out of his mind. As for Y/N, she was adoring the way Akaashi looked today from a distance, heart bubbles basically floating on top of her head.

Suddenly, she wiped her tears and acted like she hadn't been crying for the past half hour, "Anyways, today I will be assigning you guys a project you will need to work with a partner for. Each pair will be assigned different topics so don't even bother asking others for help or try cheating."

Everyone groaned as she pulled out a piece of paper with the pairs written down on it, "Shut up. Now.."

She began calling names as each student began to go to their partner.

The next words that came out of her mouth,

were like music to Y/N's ears.

A true dream come true.

"L/N and Akaashi."

Her eyes widened until she remembers Bokutos words,

Don't care. Don't pay attention to him.

Although Akaashi said that doing that was gonna have no effect on him, she had still gone along with it anyway. Sometimes, failing.

The (H/C) haired girl quickly gained a "bored" composure as she lightly doodled in her notebook, pretending not to care.

A pair of feet came into her vision and her eyes trailed up to see Akaashi looking down at her, "Didn't you hear her? We're partners."

The girl shrugged, "Okay."

He rolled his eyes, "We'll get started at your place when we're done with this stupid class."

With that, the bell rang. Akaashi went back to his desk to grab his bag before walking to the door and stopping, "What're you just sitting there for?"

She blinked a few times before quickly grabbing her bag and rushing to him, mentally cursing at herself for easily listening to him. Like always.

They began their journey to the girls home, along with Bokuto. Akaashi had quickly texted his friend about what was happening and insisted he come with them, not wanting to be alone with Y/N. Her and Bokuto had been having their own conversation while Akaashi just walked behind them.

The three made it to her home, Bokuto immediately going to her kitchen, hoping to find snacks. He came out with a bag of chips and a piece of milkbread in his mouth and saw the girl and Akaashi sitting on her couch.

He took the bread out of out mouth, "So, what can your senpai help you with?"

Akaashi lightly groaned, "Nothing. L/N and I are both smarter than you. You're just here because I asked to be."

The older male slightly pouted as he sat next to the (H/C) haired girl, causing her to lightly laugh as she pat his back.

After a couple of hours of them working, Bokuto got a call from his parents causing him to leave the two second years. Soon after he left, her mother came home and smiled at the two,

"Oh! Keiji! It's so nice to see you! Are you guys studying or something? If so you might wanna head up to Y/N's room. Her father and I are gonna be moving stuff around down here and it's gonna get a little loud so I wouldn't want to interrupt you both."

They looked at each other before the boy lightly frowned as he gathered his things and making his way to her room.

The girls mother looked at her, "Would you like me to fix you guys a snack or something?"

Y/N shook her head, "No. Akaashi has been here for a few hours already so he might be heading home soon."

"Okay. Let me know if you change your mind."

The girl nodded and went upstairs with her partner. She found him sitting on her bed so she sat next to him. He noticed she kept fidgeting and scooting away and closer, trying to decide which she wanted.

"L/N, do I make you uncomfortable or something? You keep moving and it's bothering me." He questioned.

"You know far too well that you don't make me uncomfortable, Akaashi." She whispered.

He didn't respond.

The silence between them as they worked began to make her feel uncomfortable. Breaking out of her unbothered character, she began to nervously ramble. She brought up different topics and talked about them for a few minutes before moving onto another.

Akaashi's eyebrow began to twitch in annoyance as he began to think of ways to get her to stop talking.

Everything he thought of resulted in her being angry with him.

Until a certain thought came into his mind,

"Hey L/N, have you ever played the nervous game?"
