~ "No way he was actually serious..." Y/N whispered to herself as she looked out her window and saw Akaashi standing at the end of her walkway, "Men don't really understand the word no don't they?"
Nonetheless, she grabbed her schoolbag and walked outside.
Upon hearing footsteps, Akaashi looked at her and smiled, "Good morning. How'd you sleep?"
"Everything was fine until I saw you standing out here." She sighed.
"And she hurts my heart with her harsh words."
She gave him a disgusted look, "Seriously what's up with you? Have you been sick or something? Are you dying?"
His cold blue eyes looks into her (E/C) ones, "I told you I love you. Was I not clear?"
She looked away from him, feeling her face heat up, "No."
He took a step closer to her cupped her face in his hands, "Should I make it more clear?"
Her eyes widened and she pushed him, "Shut up. I don't like you, remember? If you're not gonna leave me alone, then please stop saying all these things. It'll only make me hate you more."
"So you're saying it's okay for me to be around you now?"
She felt annoyed, "Actually, no! Akaashi, really, leave me alone. I cannot be more clear on that. Stop loving me. You had you're chance. You're only acting like this because you're jealous of Kenma."
Akaashi took a step back and shoved his hands in his pocket, "So, you chose him then?"
Y/N looked to the side before letting out a soft sigh, "It's too early for this. Let's just go to school."
She walked past him and made her way to Fukurodani. The setter quickly caught up to her, "If you chose him just tell me. I can take the rejection."
"Really? Cause if you could, you wouldn't be here right now."
"I'm here because I love you."
She let out an annoyed groan and sped up her pace.
All throughout the school day, Akaashi was by her side. It was lunch when she had finally managed to escape from his sight. She found the volleyball captain and when he asked where's she's been all day, she said with Akaashi. Bokuto had thought they made up but she quickly corrected him saying that he was only bothering her.
He laughed, "Isn't it kinda funny though?"
She frowned, "In what way? I feel like I'm being suffocated."
"Well, you were always the one following him. Now it seems like the roles are reversed." He explained.
"He's doing this out of jealousy. I did it because I genuinely liked him."
"I don't know about that," Bokuto replied and she looked at him, "When Akaashi told me he fell for you, he had a look in his eyes. It was the exact same look you had in your eyes when it came to him. I think he's being genuine."
She fell silent. She wanted to believe he was being genuine but she didn't want to waver again. Loving Akaashi brought more pain to her than anything else.
The girl lightly shook her head, "I know that being his best friend means that you're an automatic wingman but I don't want to be in a messed up love. I really don't."
