"It's simple; the reason he's always ignoring you is because you give him too much attention and care too much, so just do the opposite."

~The next day, the girl and her upperclassman were eating lunch without their schools setter.

Akaashi had been held up in class helping with something, leaving the two alone.

As Bokuto was happily munching away on his meal, he noticed his underclassman was a little more quiet than usual.

He poked her cheek, "Y/N, what's wrong? Do you miss Akaashi already?"

She shook her head and he tilted his head, "Then what's wrong?"

She pursed her lips, "Bokuto," She started and he continued looking at her while he kept stuffing his mouth with food, "Do you think I'm attractive?"

The owl haired boy gave her a bright smile, "Hecks yeah! Your so fucking hot! Seriously! If I didn't see you as a little sister, I totally would've stole your attention away from Akaashi!"

"Then why doesn't Akaashi notice me?"

The boy swallowed his food before fully turning his body so that it was facing her, "Look, if it's one thing I know about him, it's that he absolutely hates the attention he gets from girls."

The girl rose her eyebrow, "Yeah, and?"

"Well, you giving him the most attention, affection, and care probably annoys him to the highest extent. No offense."

She frowned, "So what do I do?"

Bokuto smiled, "It's simple; the reason he's always ignoring you is because you give him too much attention and care too much, so just do the opposite."

"Meaning?"

"Don't care. Don't pay any attention to him." He replied.

The girl thought for a second, "That actually makes a lot more sense. But what if it doesn't work?"

Bokuto gave her an apologetic look, "If that doesn't work, then this time, you actually have to work on getting over him. There's not really much you can do from there."

She sighed, "Fine. There are two options that will happen before you leave this school; either A: I get Akaashi Keiji to be mine or B: I will be totally done with him."

The volleyball captain ruffled her hair, "That's the spirit! I believe in you Y/N!"

The week came and went and now started a new one for the students at Fukurodani Academy.

Akaashi was on his way to Bokutos class to meet up with the third year. Like usual, the boy suddenly stopped walking and a smaller body crashed into his.

When he turned around, he saw Y/N looking down at her phone. She mumbled an apology, not looking up, before quickly walking past him.

He assumed she was also going to Bokuto class but dropped his assumption when he saw her turn a corner.

That's when it hit him.

Her face didn't turn red.

She didn't stutter or nervously ramble.

She didn't even look at him.

In doing so, he groaned in annoyance with her and himself as he decided to follow her. He quickly walked around the corner she turned and caught a glimpse of her hair. He kept walking until they were side by side.

"Are you still mad at me?" He irritatingly asked.

"No. After all, I did still bother and annoy you after your apology so why would I be mad? What even makes you think I'm mad?" She replied.

"Well, you've paid no attention to me all day. All week in fact. You haven't nervously rambled it anything like that so I just thought-"

"Not to be rude or anything but you aren't my top priority, Akaashi. I have a life too. Just because I don't pay attention to you doesn't mean I'm upset with you."

Akaashi frowned, "That's a fucking lie. If you actually had a life, you wouldn't have been bothering me as much as you did. In case you haven't noticed, I'm not the only guy in the world. Stop wishing for something that won't happen. Also, you ignoring me isn't going to get me to notice you. Bokuto isn't smart so don't listen to whatever he tells you."

Her eyes widened at his knowledge of Bokutos advice. Akaashi's disrespect towards their upperclassman hurt her, "How can you even speak that way about someone who cares deeply for you. Two people actually including myself. Maybe you should stop being such a dick and maybe you'll come to realize that you're the annoying one. Not me."

With that, she quickly walked faster to get away from him. Once she was further enough away from him, she let out a deep breath. She had really taken Bokutos advice to heart and is now testing it.

In a way, Akaashi had lied.

Her ignoring did bother him a bit.

For her own sake, she desperately hoped her upperclassman's advice would pay off.

Otherwise, she has to stick to her word and let go of the boy she deeply adored.
