It Wasn't Enough

Part 15: I KNEW IT

- Okay Bea, enough, I said, this store it's not the one - Grandma said as I was putting the last outfit that Kai helped choose. I really think this is the one.

But as much as I don't like to admit grandma really knows what looks better on me.

- OH. MY. GOD - Abby said, as I went out of the fitting room.

- I knew it - Kai said with shock either.

- That's the one right? - Okay they were shocked but I couldn't help ask, who know if they are shocked because nothing looked so bad on me.

- Why are you still asking?? - Abby said.

- Take it off. Abby ask for the attending to put it in a bag and I will pay and then we can go - Kai said bossing me to take the outfit off. Before I take it off, I took a picture, so I could show at the jewelry and Susan could help me.

- Okay, I just need one more thing from this street - And yeas, I needed underwear, lingerie to be more specific, and I really didn't needed Kai there.

- Yeah, where do we need to go? - He asked looking around the store, trying to see what could I need more.

Abby was trying to figure out what I needed more, and then she realize what I needed.

But, come on, there is no shame to need to buy underwear.

- I need to buy underwear - I said in juts once and left the store, to another that had underwear. I could see that Kai was a little bit uncomfortable, but he was going to be okay. As I was going out of the store I heard them arguing over who will pay.

- No, I am paying today - I heard Kai say.

- Kai, we can pay for this, don't mind - I heard Abby say.

- Yeah, I know that you can, I am just trying to spoil my little, not so little, girl. Come on Abby, just today - He was almost begging to spend money on me, even if people doesn't see much in that. I saw, and felt, something.

- Fine - Abby gave up and he did a face like a puppy, god that face could do so much damage.

I didn't take much buying my lingerie, just something, like Kai said, sexy.

A few minutes latter we met again by the car. And what I saw was perfect, Kai leaning on his Mercedes Benz G63, holding those bags, it was a master piece, if I can say.

- So, anyone hungry? - Kai asked was I was getting closer to the car.

Abby made a face to him that said "man, I am always hungry".

- Yeah, starving, but we need to go to the jewelry - I said as Kai was opening the trunk so I could put more bags in there.

- OH God, jewelry? Seriously? - He said and I couldn't quite see if he was mad or happy.

- Hm yeas, there is one great here - I said. I actually knew the place we were very much. This is my favorite place to shop. I mean there is a few stores around the city that has potencial, but I prefer here.

- Okay, where is it? - Kai asked closing the trunk.

- The other side - I said and we started to walk.

It was a five minutes walk. And as we walked I was telling everything about every store that we passed.

- You have never been in London before? - I asked, Kai actually had the type traveler.

- No, I am from Portland, Oregon and I never got the chance to travel, and I have been in Mysticfalls, but it wasn't the most enjoyable trip ever - He said that with a sad tone, but the last part I could see that he was just joking.

- Here it is, the Hancocks, the most old a beautiful jewelry in London, and very expensive, hope you brought your best credit card - I said the first part with joy, that was the best place ever, and the second one like a joke, more and less.

- That's my girl - He said going in into the store with me. It was weird how I felt so close to Kai in such a short time, never crossed my mind that that would happen.

And then we spend more two hours with Susan trying to figure out the best choice to mach my dress and my high heels.

Susan, my favorite attending, always helped me to choose what was best, and this store has some history in my life, grandma bought me my ring wen I got into high school, and some, and I mean most of it, jewelry on my closet. Speaking of that, I forgot about my house, I got so comfortable at the hotel, and so many things happened, I should go there and see what is left of the house. If there is something left.

And again Kai payed for it. Money never was a problem with me and grandma, but seeing Kai do that for me. Spend so much money, my heart just felt warm.

- Okay, so if I don't eat now, I will probably have a nervous attack and no one will like to see it - Kai said making a joke about it but grandma didn't take it much as a joke and made a fear face.

- It's just a joke, part witch, remember, I can last morte than a regular vampire - He said looking at Abby through the mirror in the car.

- Yeah, I know. Hm I know a place around where we can get a great food, for both taste - Abby said, I knew where we were going, and it was one of my favorites places in town. Okay, I got a lot of favorites places in town.

After about five minutes in the car we stopped at Novikov, the food here is amazing, and the drinks, god, they are out of mind, I mean, it is almost 4pm, happy hour, right?

We walked in, and Georgie, the best waiter ever, of curse after Sammy, came to attend us.

- Georgie, my man - I said highfiving him, even if this was a little bit chic place, I wasn't.

- Miss Bea, my favorite client - Georgie said hi back to me.

- Same table? - He asked leading the way.

- Actually I am with grandma today, so please a more reserved table - I said to him with a wink.

- So, you guys go sit and I will go to the bathroom - Grandma said to me and Kai as we were following Georgie to the table, and that I knew it was her code for "gonna let the vampire cooker know that we have a heretic in the table", it's just sound funny.

We sat at the table in a corner by the window, the view was always amazing.

- So what's up with this place? How did you found? - Kai asked as we were taking a look at the menu.

- Fun fact, about two years ago, on my sixteen birthday I bailed on my friend at a club after one drink and went for walk, that's wen I saw the Novikov, and wen I got in, the place looked amazing, and I felt in love. After three, or six drinks... I got really wasted and wen I usually get that wasted, I start say how my grandma was born a witch and then became a vampire. So that night I passed out at the bar and Georgie helped me to get sober and get me home, and in the way to home, Georgie open up to me and told me he was a warlock, that's how he likes to be called, and he also told me about the more three witches that worked here and the five vampires, so he explained to me that that was a place for supernatural beings and he said that if grandma needed some specific food he would be pleased to help - I explained to Kai how I found the place, and gave him a wink in the "specific food" so he could gest that I was talking about blood.

- And do you mean, that they serve like blood here? - Kai asked with a very low voice.

- Yeah, but not in plane side, grandma wanted to give me a childhood as normal as she could, and that implied to go out for meals, and here they like put the blood in a pretty drink, in a great teste plate of food, even in the desert, human, animal, anything you can ask for - I answered his question with the same low voice. Kai looked shocked, but yeah, it is not everyday that you found a supernatural restaurant.
