It Wasn't Enough

Part 16: Dad

We didn't took to much in the restaurant, Kai were very shocked with the news that the restaurant served blood, ordered the usual, and I didn't order any drinks because I needed to go sober to my date, and were already 5:30pm, I really needed to go home and start to dress up.

- So, we need to go, Sammy is picking me up at 8pm, and I really need to get ready - I said getting up the table and asking Georgie for the check.

- Okay, the food I am paying and I don't care who you want to spoil - Abby said to Kai as Georgie brought us the check.

- Fine Abby - Kai gave up of trying to pay for more things.

- Always a pleasure Georgie - I said to the waiter already going out of the restaurant.

- Miss Bea - Georgie stopped me - Hm, I feel in my place to ask, if that is your father? - Georgie asked point with the eye to Kai.

- Yeah Georgie, it is him, he got out a few days before New Year - I explained to him. He knew about Kai, Georgie were one of the few that knew about my past.

- If I may, Miss Bea, I would like to ask to you to be careful around him, I know that you know what he did in the past, but I care for you, and I wouldn't like for anything bad happen to you, just take care, okay? - It was nice to see Georgie looking out for me like that.

- Of curse Georgie, I will be fine - I said giving him a smile.

Abby and Kai walked to us, and we left the restaurant.

The way back to the hotel was fine, we talked how fun was our day, and how Sammy would look shocked wen he see me. As matter of fact, grandma and dad made a bet in what would be his reaction, Abby bet that he would be speechless and Kai bet that he would say something. And me, I honestly didn't knew what would he say.

We got to the hotel and Kai carried all the bags to my room, did I already say how gentleman he is. Almost six and I have around two hours to get done, I believe that is enough.

So, since was a special day, I prepared a bathtub, I needed, I wasn't tired but it would be nice to relax a little. After a wile in there thinking about my makeup, I got out and got into my robe. I sat at the desk in the room that had mirror, I already got some hair cream, and now I just need to start on my makeup.

I was sat there for about twenty minutes, I couldn't choose how to do my makeup, I mean it's a bar in Soho, but there is a lot of bars there, from a disgusting old to the most expensive in town. Okay Bea, it's not so difficult, put the makeup but not so much, but it need to look like you putted some makeup, god why is this so difficult??

I heard someone knock on the door.

- Come in - I said.

- So, I just came to see what you bought for tonight - Blondie said as she was walking in the room.

- God blondie, you are the one I need - I said pulling her to sit by my side - So you already been in a lot of dates right? - I asked.

- Hm yeas, I mean... - I didn't let her finished.

- Okay I need some help in the makeup department - I said looking to her asking for some help.

- Fine, where are you two going? - She agreed to help me and I could see that she was happy to help and the she made the million dollars question.

- I have no ideia, he just said it was at Soho - I told her what I knew.

- Okay, Soho there a lot of places. I don't believe that he would take you to some place weird, but he is a waiter so not some place too chic either - She said, going through my makeup bag.

Okay she was right.

- So maybe a eyeliner with a light brown eye shadow, and a little bit of mascara, not too much so if you sweat your eyes wont be black, and maybe a red lipstick - Blondie said, taking the things I would use to do my makeup.

- Hm can you do it? - I asked a little ashamed that I was asking that - My hands are shaking a little bit and sweating to - And they definitely were.

- Of curse dear - She said with that warm smile.

Okay, 7:45pm, Sammy must be almost here. Blondie finished my makeup and now I just need to get dressed.

8pm sharp and I am closing my red neckless, I am so hot in this outfit god. I went for a simple black dress, thin straps, it was short, but not too short, as Kai said, sexy but not slut. At the jewelry, Kai bought a very beautiful rubi diamond par of neckless, ring, earrings and bracelets. I admit that I have maybe exaggerated a little bit, but come on, it is beautiful. And now I just need to put my shoes, a beautiful red Casadei, god I look amazing.

- OH. MY. GOD - I heard grandma say and she walked in the room. Okay she is speechless, besides the "oh my god", and I believe that was a good reaction - Caroline and Kai are waiting for you down in the lobby - She said.

-  Okay, I think I am ready - I didn't knew if I really was ready, but okay, enough with the anxiety. I juts needed my cellphone and my card was in the back. Okay, going down to the lobby.

As I walked out of the elevator blondie and Kai were waiting for me.

- Bea, you look amazing!!!!! Is this a Valentino? And those shoes are Casadei? and those jewelries, I can't imagine were did you get it - Blondie was very excited, I almost didn't get what she said, and that may be an understatement. Kai haven't say anything yet. And wen Caroline realize that I was expecting to him say something she went way, giving us some space. From the lobby I could see through the glass wall if Sammy were already there, and he wasn't. And that made my stomach full of butterflies, what if he stood me up.

Kai realize that I was getting nervous so he diced say something.

- He is in his way, I am sure - He said trying to calm me down, well it didn't make much difference - I can't find the words to describe how amazing you are, a full grown up - He said, and I could see tears trying to go down in his face, it was part joy and part sad, for not being able to see me grown in this full grown up.

Well since Sammy's car was old I could hear him got the hotel, and wen I looked through the glass wall I saw the white Mercedes outside.

- Go get your man - Kai said as he saw the car too.

- Thank you dad - I said and didn't even realize what I said. I just called him "dad", and then I saw one tear come down.

- Love you - He said and gave me hug.

- Love you - I said hugging him back - Don't wait me up - I said going out.

- USE PROTECTION - He screamed wen I was by Sammy's car and he was at the hotel door.

I looked back with a dead stare to him and he just went back to the hotel.

Sammy was leaning on his car, he was looking amazing. He was wearing a light jeans, a with shirt and a black leather jacket. My heart accelerated as I was getting close to him.

- Wow - I could see his shock, and I was definitely happy for that - You look so amazing - He said as we gave a light hug, and at that moment I, unintentionally, heard his thoughts, and I got say, those thoughts were very dirty, he imagine taking my dress off and imagining what I was wearing under. And I blushed at the same time.

- Are you okay? - Sammy asked opening the door for me.

- Yeah, I am fine, you are gorgeous to - I said getting in the car letting out a breath that I didn't even notice that I was holding. 

- Ready for tonight? - He aske and started the car.

- Hell yeah - I answered and we went. God, what expect from this night.
