   I returned home from school to see a note at my front gate:

Go to Grandma's to

have a family meeting

   I hate family meetings. Especially when it is after school. Anyway...

   I sat on the sofa, exhausted, when my father entered the living room. He gave out the papers containing all our duties for the holidays. I must do most of the chores. I hated that fact.

   "This isn't fair! Why does Tiffany get 'Sweep the floor everyday' only?" I asked although I've already knew the answer, "Shes still in third grade." Mom shrugged. "Lets go home."

   It was the day of the departure . I woke up, gloom surrounding me. I looked at the notice board located at my study room to see if there is any notice from my parents. I looked through the letters from school and a letter caught my attention.

9 a.m to 3 p.m.

Attendance is compulsory

   Oh my god. The date of the class is... today?! Must I really go? If I go to school, it means that I would miss the departure and see Mila leave.

   School is cruel.

   Mom saw my teary eyes and said, "There, you had already known about the talk. I was just about to tell you. Come, I'll drive you to school."

   "I'm not going !"

   "But you have to. This is my command. You also cannot skip school without a valid reason." insisted Mom . I glared at her and stomped to my room to change my clothes.

   More bad incidents came in line. Someone placed piles of rough paper in my locker and when I opened it, it fell all over me.This must have been Clarice's doing. Everyone laughed their heads off. My cheeks went pink. How embarassing this is.

   There was another one. Adrian, the school's prankster, told me to pass Mr Lanely my Math workbook, and when he marked it, he saw a note that says, 'Lets date !'. He blushed and called me. I was so embarrassed and told him that that wasn't my doing. He became speechless and left the classroom.

   When the bell rang, I raced out of the gate to avoid any other embarrassing incidents. What a day!
