   "RIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGG!"

The majestic ball of fire made its dramatic entrance, signalling the start of a brand new day. I woke up as I thought that my alarm clock rang, but instead, the doorbell called me . It really sounded like my alarm, so I get rather confused at times. I gave out a lazy stretch, basking in the warm rays of the sun. I quickly pushed myself out of my comfortable bed and opened the door.

   "What do you -"

   No one.

   "...want?" I continued monotonously.

Gosh, I was so pissed off to know that. I checked the time. 7:45. Great. Its too early. That made me angrier. I was about to close the door when I saw a little box placed on the floor. I paused for a moment. Part of me was persuading me to open it , while the other part was begging me so much to leave it alone. Suddenly, I remembered an incident.

It was evening when it happened. I felt crestfallen to know that I failed the test of my favourite subject, Math. Yes, be surprised. Not everyone likes Math. Anyway, I was searching for Mila for encouragement when I saw a parcel placed below my mailbox. I picked it up and was wondering about the contents. Eventually, I opened it. There was another box. However, it was well-decorated with fake jewels lined up around the box in the form of stripes. There was also a lock, with the key hooked at the other side of the box. It looked mostly like a chest. I was mesmerized by the beautiful decoration and unlocked the lock with glittering and curious eyes. Suddenly...

"Gotcha! You stupid dumbo!" the head of a clown popped out from the box while saying those evil words, hitting my nose.

I cried while blood oozed out of my nostrils profusely. I ran into the house to see my mother staring at me with the most shocked expression ever stucked at her face. I was sent to the hospital to find out that my nose was fractured.

And that was why that part of me was stopping me from opening the box. It did not want that nightmare to happen ever again. However, I did not abide to it and opened the box.

Fortunately, it was not anything dangerous at all. Well, physically not dangerous, but emotionally dangerous. It was a cute soft toy which will sing 'Twinkle twinkle little star" when I press its body. I felt slightly amused as I'm already too big for that thing. Just under it was a letter :

Dear Stephanie,

Mila here. How have you been? I hope that everything that you do goes smoothly. Anyway , I send you this to tell you some bad news. I could not talk to you personally as you all never respond to my calls.

The main thing I send you this is beacuse... I'm not returning.

Great. I pausde for a moment and took a deep breath. I carried on reading while tears started welling down my eyes.

I have a very happy family now who loves me. The toy that I gave you is the first ever toy that you had held since you were born. I'm sorry...

Gotcha! I'm going back, don't worry!

Yay! Geez, Mila loves to play around.

Okay, actually, I'm really not returning. Just wanna cheer you up.

Best in life,

Mila :)

Thats it. She is not returning. I ran to Tiffany's room and hugged her tightly, waking her up.

"Wait, what? Why are you crying? Did your boyfriend Jake-a-poo dump you in the middle of the night?" she asked , half-asleep.

"No! Anyway, its Jake, stupid. Okay listen here. Mila. Is not. Coming back." I said and cried more.

Tiffany did not say anything. Suddenly, she took her pillow and hits me.

"You! You're faking! Mila, she promised me! She said that she will come back! SHE WILL COME BACK!" she screamed as loud as she can, continously hitting me with her pillow. I was helpless. I completely understood her. Both of us thought that Mila occupies a lot of space in our hearts. I left my sister alone and went to my room. I started to imagine myself spending the rest of my life, with no sign of Mila in my life
