Stephanie's P.O.V

I wake up at my bed , seeing Michael by my side . I'm puzzled . I did not really remember much about yesterday .

"Are you okay ? You fainted yesterday evening . I thought you had a coma or something ," Michael holds my hand .

"Oh . Don't worry , I feel better now ," I smile .

"Anyway , just now , a lady came to your doorstep and left a letter ," says Michael as he hands me an envelope . It has no address or my name . I open it immediately with curiosity .

Its been a while , Stephanie . Did you miss me ? Without you knowing , I've been watching you grow , my dear . Want to meet me ? I'm waiting for you at the park .

"Michael , I need to go !" I race for the door .

"B-but you've just woken up ! Steph , wait !" By then , I have disappeared from his sight .

"Mila ! I'm coming ! Don't go yet ! Mila !" I shout while sprinting as if I am in a race . I stop my step and pant after 5 minutes of running . I do not realise that I was crying when I ran . At that time , I thought that I was unable to see Mila ever again . I fall towards the ground as I ran too fast that my legs became wobbly . I wail for help because I can't get up .

"Stephanie !" calls a voice . I see Clarice running towards me .

"What are you doing here ?" I ask . Suddenly , she grabs my sweaty hands and drags me behind a tree located at a corner . I look up to my surroundings after staring at the ground . I widen my eyes . The one who ruined my life and made me depressed and suicidal is right in front of me .

Karmila Jadens . The most famous spy agent in Asia . I know she left for her dream career . Since she has already achieved her dreams , what does she want from me ?

"Stephie !" she hugs me so tightly until I can't breathe . I don't hug her back , but pushes her away from me instead .

"What do you want ?" I ask in a mean tone .

"Stephie , I'm so sorry-"

"Lies ."

"I really missed you . Lets go to the playground - like old times ," convinces Mila .

"I'm not a child anymore , in case you have ever forgotten ," I give her a face . "Just go straight to the point - what do you actually want from me ?"

"Fine ," says Mila . "Stephie baby , I'm here to say that I'm so sorry for everything . I'll make sure that everything goes back to normal , like nothing happened ."

"But you can't change the past ."

"Yes , thats true , but we can change the present , right ? So , my dear , I want to be by your side again . I will quit my job which I am tired in , and our lives will be much more happier than before . Do you want that ?"

My heart flips . I think that my heart has opened to Mila . The happy times that I wished to return to me controls my vision , forcing me to watch those memories .

"Stephanie , do you want to do so ? Hello ? Are you listening to me ?" Mila waves her hand in front of my eyes . I was deep into my thoughts until I did not answer her question .

"O-oh . Yeah ."

"So ?"

"Well ... okay ."

I can't believe that that one word can escape from my mouth so easily . I think I am happy about this offer .

"Yay ! Thank you ! Well , by saying 'acting like nothing happened' means that you're life will go back to normal !"

"As in ?"

"Jake and Clarice ... ugh , its hard to explain . Go to them yourselves ."

I become confused . But whatever , I will find the answers . I am startled to see Jake and Clarice appear from the back of the tree . Did Mila summon them beforehand or something ?

"Stephie !" Clarice runs towards me and hugs me tightly . I'm shocked to see her like this .

"W-what is going on here ?"

"Look , actually , I was mad at you , but its until the auditions . Suddenly , my anger disappeared . I was about to ask for forgiveness , someone , who turns out to be Mila , disallowed me to do so .

"Now , forgive me maybe ?"

I stand there , unable to react well . Why must Mila disallow Clarice to ask me for forgiveness ? Whats so wrong about doing so ? I am deep in my thoughts when Jake speaks up .

"Stephanie , I wasn't mad at you . At all . And I was not making out with Clarice . We were just asked to be naked , by Mila . I still love you to the bottom of my heart , Stephanie Roseline Cooper . I want to be by your side again , just like old times ."

I sigh . After all those tradegies that I went through , I'm forced to realise that it is all a joke . My heart is mixed with emotions , not knowing whether to be happy or frustrated . The joke is too severe to be called a joke because I almost commited suicide. The reason why I'm happy is because I can finally escape from the hell that I thought will be for the rest of my life . At the end , I decide to forgive them and enjoy old life while using the tradegy as a threat to them . Muahahaha .

"Of course I forgive you guys !" I exclaim . Just when I'm about to embrace them , Mila stops me .

"Stop right there , young lady . Theres only one condition to get back your life ."

"What ?" I grunt .

"Kick Michael out of your life ."

I know that I have not been updating for a month already so I am so sorry ! Maybe , just maybe , I'll update more frequently during mid-November because by then my exams have ended ^^
