"Hello ? Is anyone inside ?" I knocked on the door . Nobody answered.
"Hello? Hello? Hello! HELLO?!" I repeated. Still, no response. I turned the doorknob quietly and it opened. This is strange. Why was the door unlocked when there was no one at home? What is happening right now? Those questions kept lingering in my mind.
I crept towards the stairs to Jake's room surreptiously to surprise him. Just as I reached the door, I purposely kicked it, and the door swung open.
I looked inside. Two shocked faces stared at me. I thought I had amnesia for a moment as I could not seem to recognise them. Then, at the next minute, I know one of them.
Its Jake. Naked.
With naked Clarice clinging onto his muscular arms.
Great moment to happen .
It happened, of all days, today. The day when I was happy. The last day I felt true happiness was just before Mila left. Quite long, wasn't it?
Mila . Ugh . Thinking about her is depressing .
Anyway ...
Both of them quickly took a towel and covered themselves. I grabbed Clarice's neck furiously, strangling her while she whined, struggling to breathe.
"H-help J-Jake ..." she struggled. Jake gave a death glare and I let go of Clarice.
"Jake ? What's this ? What are you doing ?" I asked, trying to hide my tears.
"Get out of here! I don't want you anymore," he replied, not looking at my face.
"W-why?" I tugged his arm but he was too strong, so he easily let go. "Tell me, Jake Flaker, TELL ME!"
"You want to know? YOU WANT TO KNOW? ITS BECAUSE RECENTLY, YOU ARE NOT LIKE MY GIRLFRIEND AT ALL. ALL THIS WHILE, THE ONLY THING YOU DO IS COMPLAIN ABOUT LIFE, ESPECIALLY THAT STUPID MILA OR WHATEVER HER NAME IS! AND YOU DID SO WHEN I'M FEELING HAPPY! FOR GOD'S SAKE, I HAVE NO TIME FOR THAT! YOU ARE AWARE THAT I'M NOT A GOOD LISTENER, BUT YOU DON'T SEEM TO CARE! AND OVER THE PAST FEW WEEKS, WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ROMANTIC! NO HUGS, NO KISSES, NO MAKING OUT, NOTHING! WHAT WE DO IS TO ONLY HEAR ALL YOUR STUPID PROBLEMS WHICH I DON'T WANT TO KNOW! SO BLAME YOURSELF IF I GO TO ANOTHER WOMAN!" he shouted at my face.
He was right . I had been a jerk lately. However, I never even thought that Jake was not happy with me. I became silent for a while.
"But your solution to this is a woman? Why didn't you tell me? DO YOU EVEN LOVE ME?!" I cried.
"Yes, Clarice makes me feel better, unlike you! And she is prettier, too. You're such a pain in the neck, Stephanie Cooper! Thats it WE'RE BREAKING UP! Why? Because I hate you , Stephanie Cooper! I declare that I hate Stephanie Roseline Cooper with all my heart!"
"How could you!" I slapped him, tears draining from my eyes. I did not regret slapping him at all. I raced downstairs to the door when Clarice grabbed my arm. I stared at her, glad that she had worn her clothes back. However, I still hate her, of course.
"At the end of the day, I always win," she whispered as she released my arm.

I looked at the window, seeing the dual hues of orange and purple painting the picturesque sky. I thought of what happen today, from the pimple to Jake. Suddenly , a hand waving so closely at me interrupted my thoughts.
"Stephie , are you okay ? Hello ?" It was Allie.
"Mmm yeah I'm alright," I lied.
"You're lying. I can see that from your eyes. This must be about Jake. Do you want to tell me what happened?"
Tears welled down from my eyes. I nodded. I told her everything, being aware that she is a good listener, unlike Jake.
"Well, basically, he seriously does not deserve you. He's a beast, Steph. And every day might not be good, but there will always be something good in every day. For today, the good thing is the auditions , remember?" she comforted me.
"Wow, I like that quote. Can you write that for me in a piece of paper? I want to put it in poster form amd paste it in this room," I smiled. Allie is the best in consoling, supporting, quoting and also making poems. My room is full with motivating quotes that came originally from Allie's mouth. She was just the bestie everyone would dream to have. I told that to Allie several times but she would always laughed it off, blushing.
An hour later, which I felt as if like it was only a few minutes, Allie had to go home. I hugged her all of a sudden. Allie was confused for a second.
"Thanks for everything, Allie. Glad to have you in my life!" I hugged her again and this time she hugged back. She grinned.
"Yeah you're right," she slapped my back.
"Oww! Don't you know it hurts?" I groan jokingly, and we giggled together. We did our signature handshake and I saw her walk out of my front door.
