" I have not seen you around lately, whenever i come over you not here " Eric asked .

"Um...I've been going to the library to study you know it's almost testing week "

Eric sat up from my bed and stared at me for a long while, I felt bad for lying to him but it's not like I'm really lying I am studying.

" I like your passion for education  "

I let out an awkward  laugh and pretended to be on my phone.

" so how do you feel about your new step  sister "

" I don't know  it feels awkward especially  when it's dinner time ,  we barely  talk and  I feel like she doesn't really like me but it all properly in my head ".

" don't say that I think it might be because  she moved over and has to  adapt .... and maybe if me and her-"

I threw  the pillow next to me at Eric  before he could finish what he was saying .

" don't even try Eric the last  thing I need is you going after my sister- you such a pervert why am I even friends with you ".

" Because I mean the world to you and you love me ".

I laughed, my phone ringed and I looked at the call ID it was Sebastian, I looked at my phone then Eric

"You not gonna pick up " Eric asked

"  I'm hungry go make me something to eat "  I said pointing at him then at the door

" I'm not your servant- who is that calling you   " he said still looking at my phone .

" no one you need to know about " I said getting up and walking out to the hallway and picking up the call ." Hey "I said in a low voice

" hey " there was a long silence before he spoke  again," what you doing this Saturday ".

" um..nothing why"

" lucky and them wanted you to come to that get together I called to check"

" do you want me to come "

" of course why wouldn't I "

" is that the only reason you called "

"Yeah I should hang up now I guess"

"You not even gonna ask how I'm doing or if my day is going good" i said leaning my head against the wall.

" why should I " he said sounding confused.

" because you asked me out that's why and when people are dating  they check up on each other " I let out a sigh

" oh...I never did that with my past girlfriends  "

" yeah...now you talking about your ex girlfriends..I'm gonna hang up " I quickly hanged up. This is the only way to get him to come see me ...What if he doesn't come then. I turned around to see Eric standing behind me.

"Were you following me"

" no I wanted to come and make you something to eat "

" it's fine I'm not hungry anymore " I said walking past him to go to my room , I quickly grabbed my hand and pulled me back

"Who was that on the phone " he said looking at me suspiciously.

"  A friend "

" you don't have any friends expect for me"

" Who said so...She is a friend from class " I said quickly  regretting it already

"Name"

".......maddy "

" you told  me you   didn't like her "

" when..just stop why you questioning me, am I a child " AS I said that my phone rang again  I looked at the caller Id  and it was Sebastian  , I quickly declined the call and put my phone in my pocket. Eric continued  to look at me .

"What ..you mom just come from the hospital and you haven't been spending time with  her" I said grabbing his and and dragging him downstairs.

"She said I should be myself and act the same way I always do which is to act like she is not there "

I looked at him shocked " your mom almost died...Eric I swear ...gosh you a bad son"

" I'm joking " he smiled grabbing his jacket  and car keys.

" She didn't say that and don't tell her I said the that".

" so you lying " I gasped , he laughed and kissed my head.

" see at school "  he said walking  out to his car and driving off

I sighed and took out me phone, 12 missed calls all from Sebastian. Did he really take what I said seriously I laughed. As I am about to walk upstairs I hear a knock by the door, did Eric forget his phone again. As I opened the door it was jaden...
