ΔΔΔY/N's POV
Kira came back into the room with her arms crossed and seemed tense about whatever she learned over her phone call.
"That was dad," she said to me in a cold tone. "He said that you're supposed to be in Seattle."
My heart dropped, remembering what happened a year ago in Seattle. The woods, the fire, the news. I began to panic not knowing what was to become of me now.
"See, we were actually coming to visit you soon," she began with hurt in her voice that hurt me as well. "Mom's friends are saying you committed arson and ran away. So what's your game!? TELL ME!"
Seeing her hurt is what broke me. She believed the stories that everyone heard, making me the villain. I looked up at her with tears in my eyes.
"I don't have a game!"
She shook her head in disbelief. "This is all just a ploy. For you to get attention," she said.
The others in the room didn't know what to do or say. They sensed the tension and the pain coursing in the room.
"It is," I looked her dead in the eyes, taking a step closer to her. "Because mom threw me out for being human."
The room seemed to go still just for a moment.
"Alright, I'm sorry if that seems selfish," I said, shrugging my shoulders down.
"I don't believe you," Kira said in response. "Because you're a liar. Mom wouldn't do that." She shook her head in utter disbelief.
"Well she did," I said, my voice cracking.
"Dad's human," she argued.
"Dad's dad," I said.
She still didn't accept it. "She loves us. She couldn't do that."
I nodded, wiping my tears off my cheeks. "You're right," I chuckled. "I am a liar, alright? I'm the black sheep, you know the 'defective' twin, that nobody wanted." I shifted my weight on my feet. "Must feel real nice for you to just stand here, judging me. Surrounded by all the things that you got out of life, while I spent nine years basically taking care of myself because mom didn't want a human child," my voice cracked as my tears rolled down my cheeks.
Silence fell upon the room for a moment once again. The pain was excruciating, reliving the reasons why I haven't seen my own twin sister in nine years.
"Let me tell you," I began softly, "Every INCH of me wants to kill you for that. EVERY PART!" I take in a few breaths to calm down. "But I can't," I whispered. "Because you're my sister, my twin," I choked those last words out. "And I knew it started when mom sent me to Beacon Hills in middle school because somehow it affected the things around me," I began and chuckled out the next words. "She knew unexplainable things happened here and with us being twins..." my mind trailed off remembering those years without my sister.
"She knew no one would expect it," Scott said in understanding.
Deaton stepped forward, giving my shoulder a light squeeze and me a small reassuring smile before speaking to the group. He knew me more than anyone else here, as well as Talia, and no matter how much I ranted to them and how much they listened they still tried to manage to get me to see all sides of the situation.
"Noshiko told us about Y/N and exactly why she was bringing her to Beacon Hills. She had noticed that the twins were connected, even if Y/N was human and once Kira's abilities surfaced more frequently. Talia tried convincing Noshiko that Y/N was still her daughter, even if she was human."
Everyone looked between me, my sister, and Deaton in order to try to understand any of the information that was unraveled.
I remembered that Deaton said he would explain what happened to Talia earlier.
"Talia. What happened to her," I asked, looking to Deaton for answers.
He looked at me with sorrow on his face once again, not knowing how to say the words. He motioned me to sit down next to him to hear whatever was going to be said.
"T-there was a fire," Stiles spoke up. "At the Hale house. No one knew how it happened. Laura just knew a symbol on a necklace that was supposed to be the person who caused the fire," Stiles said cautiously.
"S-symbol? What symbol!? So you're telling me they were murdered!?? Talia was murdered!? How many were murdered!? Who is left!? I-I want to talk to Laura," I said in a panic, now starting to get up.
Deaton put his hand on my shoulder, stopping me and giving me another look of sorrow as if there was more to the story that I didn't know. His face read that he had to tell me the next words himself, but he was fighting himself on how.
"Laura is dead, Y/N," he said to me slowly.
I was in shock. The people I called family here were all dead. I slowly sat back down next to Deaton not knowing how to take this information and not knowing if I could take anything more information.
"Peter killed her," Scott said.
I looked at him in shock, while trying to fight back the tears that wanted to spill for what seemed like forever. I always knew Peter was greedy for power, but killing his own family???
"I-It was an accident," Scot began again, noticing I was on the verge of tears. "He was still injured from the fire, and he was in the woods when Laura found him and..." he trailed off knowing I could finish the rest myself.
I nodded understanding. "B-but who- who's left," I asked, debating if I wanted to know the answer or not.
"Just Peter, Derek, and Cora," Lydia said.
I gasped in shock with how little of the Hales were left, as a tear escaped my eye.
"W-what about the kids," I asked looking back and forth, between everyone for an answer. "The kids that didn't have their werewolf gene set in yet? They were still human. The wolves that didn't spill innocent blood? There were innocent people that lived in that house," I exclaimed in breaths due to the panic that set in and wasn't going to stop.
They all looked at me not knowing what to say, they just had the same look. The look of pity. I hated it. I hated people feeling bad for me. I hated feeling useless. I hated being human. I'm sitting here panicking and crying over people I considered family because they were murdered to cover the fact that my own mother doesn't even give a shit about me. I cry for what seems like minutes when really it's just a couple seconds before someone says something.
"They all died in the fire too," it was Allison talking now, but she was choosing her words carefully for some reason. "Peter, Laura, Cora, and Derek were the only survivors until Laura died. He started killing everyone who was involved in the arson of the Hale house until- until he finally killed the arsonist. Kate."
I tried to understand what was all just said and was shocked. She just said Kate. Like Kate, her aunt Kate? The bitch who taught me to be a young hunter and defend myself, so she wouldn't out the reason why I was with the Argents to Mrs. Argent or her Dad, Kate?
