About an hour later, you and Spencer were in his bed, cuddled under a blanket as you watched a movie. His arm was wrapped around your shoulder, your cheek pressed right above where his heart was. You heard the soft beats it made, relaxing you.
There was a knock at the door that interrupted your peace. "Who is it Spen?" You asked, looking at him in confusion.
"No idea. I'll go check," Spencer replied, kissing your forehead and frowning. He stood up, leaving the room and walking to the door. He swung it open, more confusion on his face. "Morgan? Garcia? What are you two doing here?" he asked, a little louder than he needed to. Your ears caught the voices, recognizing them. You tiptoed out of bed and watched them through the crack in the door.
"Hey! Sorry to bother you, we just wanted to talk to you about something," Garcia began, offering Spencer a smile. He bit his lip, leaning against the doorframe. "It's about Y/L/N." Your eyes widened as you inches closer so you could hear.
"What about her?" Spencer asked, his head turning to his bedroom door. You swore your eyes locked with his for a split second, before he turned his attention back to the your coworkers.
"We know you two have gotten closer lately," Morgan began.
"We're just friends Morgan," he replied, making you frown. You knew it was a lie but hearing him say it still hurt a little.
"She's engaged," Garcia said, expecting Spencer to be surprised. He, however, looked at her with no expression other than annoyance. "Ok, so you knew that? But do you know why?"
"Yes," Spencer said, beginning to get annoyed. "Why are you telling me this?"
"We're worried about you man. She's been lying to all of us."
"Ok so she's engaged. She kept her personal life private. What's wrong with that?"
"She's faking it," Garcia explained. "She's trying to get custody of a 9-year-old named Alice."
At this point you had heard enough. "Wrong," you said, walking into the room, crossing your arms. Spencer bit back a smile, looking at Morgan who was perplexed**. "I'm trying to reunite her with her father. I know this situation is strange and slightly illegal. But the system is wrong and Alice deserves to be reunited with her father, a man who loves her and was only absent from her life because he was serving his country, not to mention he didn't even know she existed."
"She beat you guys to the punch, came over an hour ago to explain the whole thing," Spencer explained, fidgeting with his hands.
"I can help, maybe work the system from the inside," Garcia said softly, making you smile. "That way you don't have to marry him, unless the marriage will actually be real."
You snorted, shaking your head. "No, no, Garrett is like a brother to me," you answered, your eyes shifting to Spencer for a brief moment. He bit his lip, holding back a grin.
"Now that we've cleared all of this us, did you two want to join us? We're watching a movie," Spencer offered.
"What movie?" Garcia asked excitedly. You giggled at her as Morgan put his hand on her shoulder.
"No need for us to further impose baby girl. Have a nice night you two, don't do anything I wouldn't do," Morgan said, opening the door.
You laughed. "That's not a very long list is it?" You teased, making Morgan groan.
"Clever woman," he muttered, leaving the apartment. Garcia hugged you before she left, whispering her apologies. You shook your head, telling her it wasn't a big deal.
After they left, you and Spencer returned to his room. You snuggled into his embrace, tilting your head up to look at him. The movie was playing but you two were too busy talking to pay attention. "You have a good group of friends," you said, making him smile.
"Yeah I suppose I do. I'm sorry they came in like that."
"They were just worried about you. I don't blame them."
"I do."
"No, Spence, no," you began, sitting up and leaning on your arm. "This is good. Garcia can help us and maybe I don't have to get married to Garrett. I wasn't looking forward to being a divorcee before 30."
Spencer laughed, his face inching closer to yours as his finger held your chin. "I really hope Alice is reunited with her dad."
"Me too S, me too," you mumbled, kissing him gently. He pulled you closer, his hands moving under your top. You shuddered, wrapping your legs around his waist, making him groan.
"Y/N, are you sure?" he asked, his forehead touching yours.
"Mhm, I love you," you replied, kissing him again. He smiled against your lips, his hands reaching for your clothes.
"I love you," he whispered as he tangled himself with you.

You had woken up before Spencer the next morning, getting ready to head back to your apartment. You made a fresh pot of coffee and kissed his forehead before you left. You needed to shower and get new clothes, your go-bag was in need of a restock.
Spencer woke up an hour later, missing your warmth as he reached across the bed. He read your note and smiled, getting ready for the day. You had promised to pick him up in 30 minutes for work.
As if like clockwork, you were parked in front of his building exactly 30 minutes later. He slid into the car, kissing your cheek before buckling his seat belt. "Good morning beautiful," he said, making you blush.
"Morning Spence," you replied, your hands gripping the wheel. "Sorry for running out this morning, I genuinely didn't have a single thing to wear."
"It alright, although I had to take things into my own hands after thinking about last night," he muttered, making you go scarlet. He chuckled, watching your cheeks flush and your pupils dilate as you readjusted yourself in the driver's seat as you drove. "No way," he said, making you look at him in confusion.
"What?"
"You're turned on right now."
"Of course I am," you replied, pulling into a parking spot. You locked eyes with him, smiling softly. "Last night was unbelievable and thinking about you all hot and bothered gets me hot and bothered."
Spencer blushed and leaned over to kiss you. "We can have an encore performance tonight," he whispered, making you groan.
"Spencer Reid!" You exclaimed, pushing him off of you. "Need I remind you, no relationship activities on FBI property."
He frowned, holding your hand in his. "I know, I know. We could tell them though. We were already seeing each other somewhat before you joined the team."
"Spence, I can't wait to tell everyone. But let's just wait, at least until this whole Alice situation is settled. After that, you can do whatever you want to me on FBI property."
"Whatever I want? Hmm, that's very broad," he teased, grinning at you.
You rolled your eyes, biting back a smile. "I like this side of you," you said, getting out of the car. He copied your movements, closing the car door and waiting for you by the walkway.
"You'll like it a lot more after tonight," he muttered, shoving his hands in his pocket. You grinned at him, thanking whatever higher being existed for bringing this man into your life.
