Chapter 5: Late

Ring!!! Ring!!!

Aww it's morning. I woke up hearing the sound of my horrid alarm clock. Sighing, I stood up from my bed and walked to my speakers half asleep. I made a messy bun with my brunette hair that makes my light blue eyes stand out. I didn't want to shower because it was too cold and the warm water wouldn't help so I just went to change into something new maybe like a sweater and skirt complete with leather jacket and knee high fuzzy socks.

I didn't even bother to eat and I just made my make-up simple as I can. Since I have extra time, I decided to just watch the telly.

"In other news, girl named Tessa Griffin, age 20, caught in an accident here in the Mangrove road. Her car was hit by a gasoline truck causing it to explode. She and the driver are now both confined in an hospital and still no news if both will recover..." When I heard the newscaster, I stood up and ran to get my car keys not bothering the spilled water I made.

"Will she be okay? Please do everything doctor to keep her alive..." I pleaded the doctor, hoping a miracle would happen.

"She have some minor burns and almost all her bones are fractured. She's really in a bad condition so hopefully she would wake up. She will be staying here for 2 weeks until she's perfectly cured" The doctor, Martin as it says in his name tag, assured me that Tessa will be fine in no time.

I looked at my watch to see it was 9:30 a.m. "Oh no... I'm late for class!!" I ran to the hallway while I was thanking the doctor.

"Sorry!! Uhm... Im late sorry, my friend had an accident so... uhm I visited her..." I explained to our Art proffesor while Louise and Mae laughing at my back. I shot them a glare but indirectly at them.

"Mhm sure get a late slip at the office and you're staying here after classes for 1 hour" he said with his monotone voice.

"But sir my friend..."

"What's more important? Your friend or your studies"

"Fine..."

I just finished class today. It was stupid and now I'm just here eating my pizza that I found somewhere in my fridge. Then suddenly there was a knock on the door. It was so loud so I opened the door.

"Thank you!!!.... thanks for.. letting me in!!" He said to me.

"Uhm who are you?"

"I'm Max... i'm sorry maybe he's gone... I'll go now, thanks again!!" And to that Max ran out of the door leaving me in somewhat of a cliffhanger.

I went to my room, thinking if I should cut today but I decided not to because I'm just too tired. I thought about Max.

Out of all houses, why mine?

Who the hell is Max?
