CHAPTER - 55

Kritika is asleep and there are still thirty minutes left to strike 12 a.m.

"Where are you lost?",she says stroking my hair lazily as she opened her eyes

"In you,figured that you are turning 24 in thirty minutes but still act like you are 16",I said elbowing her.

"Okay then you act like a sixty year old man when you are only 24",she said rolling her eyes.

"Really?",I started tickling her and she started chuckling.

"No, Stefan.Don't",she said in between her laughs.
"So what have you got me?",she said trying to divert the topic.

"Nothing.I actually couldn't figure out what you want",I shrugged my shoulders.

"Well then,I want you",she chuckled and with that I dived on top of her.

"I need you too,love",I said and crashed my lips on to her.

"It's your birthday,love",I said as soon as my phone dinged at 12 a.m.
"Happy Birthday",I said and kissed her on her lips and then placed a peck on the tip of her nose.I placed little kisess here and there on her cheeks and temple and then I moved my lips on her jaw and side of her ear and then burried my head on the crook of her neck teasing her skin.

"Thank you",she said and smiled.

"There is a surprise awaiting you and Eva has totally planned what to do so,let's go",I said.

"Where are you taking me?"

"To the lake."

My sisters and my daughter have decorated the platform at the side of the lake.Balloons and lights were placed on the edge and there was a table on the centre also decorated in yellow and blue lights.

Kritika's pov

"Wow",I exclaimed when I saw the decoration and the girls shouting 'Happy Birthday' in unison.
"Thank you guys",I said and gave them all a group hug.

The girls asked me to make a wish before I blew the candle and I honestly didn't know what to wish because there were so many things that needed to get sorted out.
Good health to mine and Stefan's family.
I need to sort my career and I need help.

"It's time for gifts",April yelled at the top of her voice.

April gifted me an expensive watch.
Violet gifted me a pashmina shawl.
Eva gifted me some antique paint brushes and rare colours and yeah that's my favourite gift.
Stefan gifted me a pen and I think that must have coated him a fortune because it looked so posh.I never expected that he would gift me something as simple as a pen,it's not because I expect too high of him but I thought but would be something unique just like that bracelet he gifted me the other night.

"Of all these gifts,I know that mine is the most useful since you are journalist",he said.

"Shut up Stefan!
Who gifts their girlfriend a fucking pen?",Violet was really pissed.

"Okay, I have spent hours in the gift shop but couldn't find anything more appropriate than a pen to gift her."
"Isn't it, princess?", he turned to Eva who nodded her head.

That means Eva and Stefan have gone together to buy all that stuff and wow that's my real gift😄.

"Let's have a family dinner tomorrow at the best restaurant of London",Stefan suggested.

"Sounds cool."

"Wait.It's your birthday,you can't just spend the whole night sleeping",he pulled me by my wrist.
