Loki's pov

"Mr. Laufeyson?"

I wake up, against my will. I heard y/n'a voice coming from the door. My head still stinging from the headache tries to wake up, not entirely successful. I look around and see y/n standing now in front of me.

"Y/n? What are you doing in my office?" I said with a groggy tone.

"I'm sorry sir, it's just that you haven't been out of the office for 3 and a half hours, I was starting to get worried."

"Stop worrying about me, worry about Thor instead" shit I let my mouth speak to soon without being filtered by my mind.

"What has Thor to do with this?"

I quickly scanned her confused look on her face. Since when did she become so attractive? Fuck— I mean since when does my mind think that she's attractive. I only hired her because I knew I would never sleep with her. I realised I hardly know anything about her.

"Well, isn't he the man that you are dating?"

"Yes. Bu—"

"Then why shouldn't he be the one for whom you have your concerns about? I'm an adult man, I just had a drink too much yesterday. Now leave"

"Oh. Okay then, I also wanted to let you know that I will be gone this lunchtime."

"I don't care. Leave."

She left my office with a puzzled look on her face.

As soon as the door closed I walked up to my computer and searched for her application form. I think I should know at least what kind of study she did.

After reading for half an hour I got to know a few things about her. She's very intelligent, having studied at Oxford, not a lot of work experience though, she's an aspiring writer and loves to read, she's a perfectionist and she lives near the building. I now know that the reason why she's sometimes late, is because she had to go to a cafe first for my tea, and the nearest cafe is 10 minutes away. She goed through all this trouble just to please me? Perhaps I've been too hard on her lately.

Reader's pov

After leaving Loki's office you walked to your desk, being welcomed by the sight of a very muscled blond guy. Thor. Shit. Your date. You completely forgot about that for a moment. You fix your hair quickly and put on your smile and greeted him.

"Y/n," Thor scanned you quickly "you look beautiful, are you ready to go?"

You blushed a little.

"Yes, I am!"

The two of you walked together to the place that Thor had picked out. When the both of you walked in, you were immediately greeted by the staff and the host led you to your booth. It was a really fancy restaurant, normally too expensive to eat at, or to even book at since it was always full. You were impressed by Thor having arranged all of this. Then you remembered that this man is one of the richest men in the America. You always seem to forget that when you were together with him. He doesn't wave around with all of his money all the time, unlike his brother. Loki loved to show that he is a wealthy man. He loves to be respected while Thor loves to be loved.

While sitting down, your knees grazed Thor's knees and he didn't plan on moving them away. That made you blush a little again.

"So, y/n, how has my brother been treating you the past couple of months? I sure hope he wasn't being dreadful to you.' The look on Thor's face made it clear that he was being sincere to you.

You think back at the last months. Time to time you had to clean up after him. He ordered you around as if you belonged to him. He yelled at you so many times that it even made you cry the first few times. The look of disgust on his face when you passed by him, as if you were a peasant.

"He wasn't too bad. I mean, you know your brother of course best, so I think you know what I mean by that."

"Yes. I do know what you mean by that. I'm surprised you still work for hij after all this time. All of his assistants quit after around 2 weeks. It shows that you are stronger than them and that's something admirable."

"Oh, well, you have me speechless. How the hell did Loki turn out that way when you were his brother all this time. You are such a good person." You lay your hand on the table. You see Thor looking at your hands and he mirrors your position. Only for like a few seconds though because he quickly shifts his hands over to yours. Holding them.

"I'm happy to have met you, y/n. I do hope you would like to go on another date after this one."

"The feelings is mutual. I would love to go on another date with you Thor." You smile at him and he returns it.

Both of you quickly ordered your food after this conversation. After the food arrived you walked back to the office, holding hands in public.

"I'll have to go back inside now, don't want to keep the boss waiting."

"Ah, don't forget that I'm technically your boss too, Loki can wait a little longer."

After that being said, Thor comes closer to you. You automatically move your hands to his neck. You feel Thor's hand cupping you cheek. And then he did it. He closed the distance between the two of you and gave you a tender and sweet kiss. He paused. Looking at your eyes, then your lips again and he kisses you for the second time. This time with more passion. You return the kiss and move your right hand to his cheek, stroking it softly.

After that hot kiss, you stared at each other.

"I'm sorry. I wanted to do that after the first time I saw you. "

You smile at him "Me too."

He returns you a loving smile.

"I do need to get back to work though. When will I see you again?"

"I leave tomorrow for a week filled with meetings in Paris. Maybe after I return?"

-He's going away for a full week?? - "You're going away? I didn't know that."

"Oh god I'm terribly sorry, I completely forgot to tell you. It's only for a week. You'll survive a week without me right?" He said the last sentence in a playful tone. Bu you weren't in the playful mood right now. You felt nervous. A week without Thor at the office means that Loki will act like a complete dickbag all over again.

"I hope so. Will you come by at the office tomorrow? To say goodbye?"

"Of course y/n. For you I would do anything."

"Thank you Thor"

You gave him a quick peck on his cheek and went inside the building, heading to your floor.
