"Light, can you get me another apple?"
"No," Light says to the Shinigami currently doing a fun little handstand on his bed. "Be quiet so I can think."
"What are you thinking about, Light?" Misa asks.
I'm thinking you need to shut up.
"That girl from the lunch room needs to be judged by Kira, but I can't kill her in another training accident or there would be too much negative press about the school which could get it shut down," Light says, thinking out loud. "But if I kill her by a heart attack that would also be suspicious. If L wasn't here I would have nothing to worry about, but I can't let him find out what my quirk really is. The only way to be able to keep killing people without having the blame put on me is...to frame someone else."
"Humans are so interesting," Ryuk says, chuckling.
"Who are you going to frame?" Misa asks. "You could frame L."
"No, that would never work," Light says. "He's been far too vocal about his suspicion of me, plus he's already made allies."
"Then who?"
I need someone who everyone would believe could kill someone. In a school full of heroes, that could be hard... They need to have been present that day in the cafeteria, too.
Light pulls out a small black notebook from his drawer.
"Misa, I'm going to need you to confirm a name for me with your Shinigami eyes."
"Anything for you, Light!"
Light starts writing furiously in the notebook under two entries that include the names Minoru Mineta and Naomasa Tsukauchi.
"What are you writing, Light?" Ryuk says, coming to stand behind him.
"At 10:45 tonight Shiozaki will walk out of her room and head close to the Class 1-A dorm. At exactly 10:55 she will die in an explosion," Light says, finishing his entry.
Ryuk cackles from his spot over on the bed, having caught onto Light's plan.
"Why an explosion?" Misa asks, head tilted.
"Who better to commit murder than the Explosion Murder God himself?" Light says, leaning back in his chair, a smirk playing on his lips.
