The sun gradually rises, illuminating Class 1-A's semi-destroyed common room. Light, this time restrained by the police instead of a giant iceberg, is still screaming his holy gospel to whoever will listen.
"Great work, L," Chief Tsuragamae woofs, walking up to the group of students.
"I'm not too sure about that," Aizawa says. "How many times have I told you all to call for a pro's assistance in cases like this? I really should have expelled you all that first day."
"We're very sorry, sensei!" Yaoyorozu says.
"Don't apologize, we just solved the murders!" Kaminari exclaims.
"You didn't do anything," L says, with an expressionless voice to rival Todoroki's.
"I will be back!" Light yells, muffled by a sea of officers. "I am Kira!"
"Well, none of those shitty pros could figure it out, and it only took us one fucking night," Bakugou says, talking over Light.
"Don't you want to know who was an integral part in solving this case?" Aoyama asks, only to be met with silence.
"Am I the only one that thinks Kira is a dumb name?" Kirishima asks.
"No, I totally get that," Sero says, nodding.
"Shut up! You will all pay for this!" Light bellows, as the officers start to move him out of the room. "I am your god!"
"Mon ami, it was moi who cracked the case!" Aoyama declares, ignoring Light. "You all thought my balcony cheese was weird and creepy! Laugh no longer, for it was me and my sparkle who saw Light writing in his Death Note from his balcony!"
"Problem children, quiet down!" Aizawa yells, activating his quirk to scare the class into silence.
"We have broken the law—as class president, I will take on the repercussions," Iida says solemnly.
"You didn't break any laws," Aizawa says, sighing deeply. "I just worry. This class seems to be a magnet for trouble."
"Not to worry, Aizawa-san," Chief Tsuragamae says. "Your students have already proven themselves to be capable heroes, even though they're still in training. However, I hope that I won't have to see you all again soon, woof."
"What's going to happen to him?" Uraraka asks, looking at Light, who was struggling in his restraints.
"He'll be taken to Tartarus to await trial," the chief replies. "His quirk is dangerous enough that he requires more supervision. That reminds me— Midoriya, we'll need to collect that notebook as evidence."
"A-are you sure? Because I was told that Light was the only one who could actually use it as a weapon and I have a lot of new analyses in here that I haven't gotten to copy yet and I really—"
"Midoriya, just give him the notebook," Aizawa says.
Midoriya reluctantly hands the notebook over to the chief, staring at it longingly as it's sealed into a plastic evidence bag. Tsuragamae nods, giving the signal to his men to move out with Light in custody.
"Light! You can't take him, please!" Misa yells, breaking free of her lone escort and running towards the wall of officers.
She is instantly stopped upon reaching the hallway— far before she could make contact with Light. Misa pouts as she is forced to stand with her own new contingent of police, awaiting transport.
"What is going to happen to Misa?" Todoroki asks. "She confessed to helping Light, so will she be taken to Tartarus as well?"
"There is something set up for Misa," Tsuragamae says. "Someone will be coming to pick her up soon. Don't worry, she's harmless without Light."
